Thomara Briscoe As each tribute moves to their separate rooms they find that they are not alone. The avas bring the two random tributes together and chain their wrists together with cuffs that cannot be broken. The chains are long, but not much more than seven feet. Once the cuffs are secured the avas push the two tributes into the shoot where they will be raised into the arena. As all tributes rise they will look around to see that they are in a dense forest. Some tributes will find themselves by a river in which they have to cross to get to the cornucopia. Will they take the chance of crossing the dangerous rushing water of the river or will they try to find other ways over. Others will find that they are farther in the woods to the south of a pond. Near the pond is the cornucopia. You only get a few seconds to look around before the cannon that announce the start of the games. “…4… 3…2…1…. BOOM!”

While chained to your partner you can choose to kill him or her or work together. It is your choice, but know that to get the supplies you need from the cornucopia you will have to work together. At the top of the metal structure will be everything that is needed; fresh water, dried fruit, jerky. To get to the top you will have to a double rope climbing system. Each side of the rope is set just far enough that not just one person can climb using both rope ends. In saying this if a tribute tries to use one end the rope is pulled through the pulley system set against the wall and drops to the ground. With the slick walls of cornucopia the only way up it with your partner.

To the east is a swamp that holds many dangers. If you don’t listen carefully while traveling through it you will be burned by the flames that shoot from the ground. If you take a wrong step you and your partner will be dragged down into the bottomless sand pits. Only way to save yourselves are to think fast and if you’re lucky you may just find low hanging vines to help pull yourselves out. To the west you will find a plains area with very tall grass and many berries both poisonous and eatable, it will be up to the tributes knowledge for that. The tall grass will provide many hiding spots from other tributes will you dare to enter the great plains of the arena?

Nova smiles as he now fully feels he can release his anger on others. The one that he is mainly targeting is Aiden and as he enteres the room, his smile disapperes.
He sees a 12 year old girl and looks at the peacekeeper.
"Is this suppose to be a bloody joke? What in god's name is this?" Nova asked as they started to put the chain on his left wrist. He looked at this girl and laughed.
"Do you want me to kill her first or what?" he asked as he pointed to her.
He looked as he finally get each other chained togther. They started to go out of the gate as he saw trees and wilderness.

Fransico did his last mediation in his room for he could barely get any sleep since he was a preety a day away from dying. He put his hands together as he breathed out. He saw the sunlight of Captital and was certainlt different from the light of district 11. Him and Avalon had their finally moment as they flew them off from the plane to their own section to get prepared. He gave her goodluck and hope to see her alive in the arena.

As he got to the gate door, he wasn't alone. Another girl was there in the same room as him. He looked at the trainer and asked, "What is this? Aren't we suppose to be alone for this? And she ain't even from my same district."

The peacekeepers was silent as they chain Fransico and Saill together. He saw her and knew that she ws a career and didn't want a single thing to do with her. He didn't even give her a single eye contact and waited until they were sent out of the gates.

Kåiłeē (kailee-one-who-hates-cheerios) | 2977 comments Avalon hadn't slept a wink the night before in nervous anticipation for the games the following morning. She had sat up in bed, staring at the wall and going over more and more battle strategies in her head. She doubted that she would ever live long enough to use any of them, but though it to be worth the try and it also gave herself something to do other then nervously shake. Without question she had done everything possible that she could have done in order to prepare for this horrid event, and now she would have to prove herself to everyone on live television if she didn't want to die.

The whole morning Avalon was in a haze; She hadn't the energy to speak or the color in her cheeks to bring her lips into a smile. All she could do was follow the directions given by each of the peacekeepers as they dressed and prepared her for what was sure to be the site of her death bed. Before she had known what had happened, she had been led into the hovercraft then escorted through the underground tunnels. Waiting for her in the room was all the things that she had expected: A few couches, food and water aplenty, the glass tube... But there was something strange here that she didn't wuite understand... There was another tribute in the same room as her!

Avalon stared into this girl's eyes, shocked that what she was seeing was indeed another girl competitor. Looking quizzically at the peacekeepers, she stopped her feet from moving. "Are we in the wrong room? There is already someone in here." They paid no attention to her questions and only drug her closer before a metal cuff was attached to her wrist and she was permanently attached to the girl she knew not the name of.

And then before another word could be said, she was placed in the same tube as Sariah and slowly began to rise up. Avalon had pressed herself against the far side of the tube, wanting to be no where near this girl to be honest. She gave her a few strange looks, but was cut off from doing so by the sound of water rushing and the steady beat of the countdown in the sky. The pair of them were just on the banks of a fast moving river, and firther beyond that was probably where they needed to go. Her eyes widened immediately, feeling like she wanted to cower back in fear and shimmy her way back down the tube. But she had to stay strong for the cameras, and especially had to stay strong for what looked like the person who was going to be her first ally.

The gong sounded with a heavy BOOM, and Avalon heard a few mumbled words from the girl she was chained to and then roughly pulled from her place on the plate. Avalon screeched out as she was jerked off, both of them heading straight for the river. She screeched to a hault, doing best to try and stop her and the girl's momentum before they were flung into the river. Staring at the rushing water, she got chills down her spine. Gulping and looking at Sariah, she shakily told her the worst words you could have told someone at the moment. "I can't swim."

Kåiłeē (kailee-one-who-hates-cheerios) | 2977 comments Tallia held her head higher then usual as she made her way down the corridor with two peacekeepers close at her sides. She had gotten a great breakfast, drunk plenty of water, and had gotten the best night sleep out of any and all the tributes. Her arms are calmly folded in front of her, her lips in a hard flat line and her eyes in a permanently focused position. Her vine tattoo's were clearly visible on her arms, and it looked as if her stylists had boosted the color on them just a bit to make them more apparent and bright. She was damn ready for anything that was going to be thrown her way.

That was, up until she walked into the waiting room under the arena.

Her eyes grew slightly quizzical at the sight of Matt, but quickly threw them back into the proper form. Whatever the gamemakers were trying to throw at her this time wasn't going to faze her or get into her head. She only gave him a glare, facing the glass tubes that would be her way up into the arena. Wincing slightly as the cuff was put onto her wrist, she knew that this was going to be a lot tougher now that she had to drag this man all across the arena.

Tallia didn't look at him, nor say a word to Matt as they were both pushed into the same glass tube and told to not touch each other until the arena started for good. She heard Matt's words about her killing him ringing in her ears, but said nothing about it, for there was nothing to say. But there was plenty to think about as the pair appeared above ground, revealing their location in the arena.

Immediately, Tallia's mind went into hyperdrive as she begun to assess and evaluate every little bit of her surroundings: The dense forest they were located in, the birds chirping. The faint sound of rushing water far in the distance, the glistening lake/pond that they were next to. The two things she didn't find were the cornucopia, or Aiden. She bit her lip, her head whipping around everywhere as she tried to find it with a nervous look on her face. She relaxed slightly as she saw the reflection of metal in the sun, far across the pond. She pointed it out to Matt, then began to speak to him for the first time. "There's what I believe to be the cornucopia." She whispered, just in case there were other tributes around to hear them. "We need to go there first, got it?" She glared at him subtly, thinking about his last question. "And to answer your question, Matt, yes I am going to kill you." She got into the ready stance just before the gong went off. "We must be chained together for a reason, so I won't kill you quite yet."

Her tattoo's rippled across her skin as the hong sounded and she flew off of the plate, headed along the edge of the pond and setting her sights on where she believed the cornucopia to be. She had reeled in some of the chain into her arms to make it less long, and also to make sure it didn't get wrapped around any trees or bushes as they ran. She had to pull him a small bit, only because he couldn't keep him pace up quite as well as her. "Hurry up!" She screeched at him, tugging him along and doing her best not to stumble.

♥Emi Love♥ Come Along, Pond | 1060 comments Alexandrite had risen early. She had jogged around the center as much as they would let her, before sending her back up to her room to prepare for the Games. She sat back and meditated on her bed, her clothes barely sticky from her jog. Images flashed through her mind to prepare. She remembered all her techniques and training, and brought herself to mental preparedness. Rising up from her bed, she faced the window she had changed to a beach setting, the quiet splashing of the waves was prefect for meditation. She shut it off, fixed her brunette ponytail, and walked to the kitchen. She ate a hearty breakfast and greeted Carat with pleasantries before leaving with the stylists and Peacekeepers.

Alex subconsciously rearranged her clothing, fiddling with the ring on her finger while being transported to the arena. She closed her eyes again, preparing herself. Being led off to the arena, she noticed tributes randomly being put together. Alex was paired up with some girl, Mary or Molly or Meridith or something.

Alex rolled her eyes, realizing what was happening when she was chained to the girl. Alexandrite cracked her neck as the rose to the arena, the snaps audible in the small tunnel. "Ready?" she asked the girl, raising her brow. When they were ground level, Alex surveyed the area, noticing they were near, but not too close to the Cornucopia. About, 8 or 9 hundred yards? she thought, trying to calculated the distance in her head, maybe farther. At least they werent behind the river. To her left, Alex spotted Tallia, paired up with Matt.

Looking over at the Cornucopia, Alex realized she needed Meridith alive a bit longer. "The way up to the Cornucopia," she said, nodding in the general direction, "is by double ropes. We both need one another to survive." The clock struck 4 seconds, and Alex readied herself. "Run, fast if you can please." Once the gong run, Alex sprinted off the plate, rushing towards the metal structure. "Hurry!" she snapped, yanking the girl along with her.

Lauren Coates (laurenjcoates) Quickly catching, and meeting alexandrite's pace, meridith put a steely mask of emotions on her face. Glancing up at the cornucopia her eyes widened as she saw bronze knuckles just near the top. She tried to read Her partner's emotions, wondering if alexandrite was planning on killing her any time soon. She saw no hints so far, so she matched the older's pace and took off at a sprit for the cournocopia.

Lauren Coates (laurenjcoates) Meridith, while running, tried to being up as much as she knew about Alexandrite. She was from district 1, meridith knew, so shebwas automatically a career. No doubt alexandrite was planning on killing her off the second she had what she needed. Meridith decided not to kill alexandrite at the begining, if the opportunity came along, she didn't wan't to prevoke Carat's rage. "Do you have any sort of plan?" Meridith asked, staying as calm as possible.

█║ ✕ Angel ‟ (sirsly) | 5 comments Aiden was prepared, after a day of relaxation and interviews, not to forget the chariot and training session he was ready. His eyebrows raise at the push into the room, what was going on? Carat stand in the room, Aiden give a brief chuckle- how ironic. His so called ally with Tallia, Carat and another; it was amazing how this had just worked itself out. But there was something about Carat he didn't like, maybe it was just because they were guys, maybe he just saw him as a threat because he didn't want to lose Tallia. Carat and Tallia had a connection, he couldn't lie, it's just a guy thing, Carat probably wasn't even a threat.

As the chains make a loud sound as it latches onto their wrists, "do we have to wear these the whole arena?" He turn his wrist around in the chain, clenching his fist in the process, his eyes flickering over to the peacekeepers. "Is there a way we can get ourselves free?" The man doesn't answer, an avox comes from the dark corner and pushes Carat and Aiden into the shoot and off they go. Aiden close his eyes and exhale, when he open them the clock is ticking down. "We need to go to the cornucopia first, I need a bow and arrow, if they have an axe that'll do." The time clock clicked to three, Carat seemed in a daze.

♥Emi Love♥ Come Along, Pond | 1060 comments "Uh, yeah," she said, the running not even effecting her breathing and speech. "Stay alive number one. Number two; get to the Cornucopia." As Alex spoke, they neared the looming metal structure. "Now," she said, her eyes quickly examining the set up with a flash, her eyes zooming before settling. "We have to climb at the same time," she stressed, "No way one can get up with out the other. Same way down. No killing," she smirked, bloodlust shining, "At least not yet, anyway." Ignoring any comments Meridith might make, Alexandrite tugged her toward to ropes. This girl may be older than her, but Alex had more experience, more training. Her muscles flexed and rippled under her tanned skin, as she grabbed the rope and was ready to climb. "Ready?" she asked impatiently.

Saill looked around at the peacekeepers as they chained her to the boy. "What is this? Who is this?" She asked looking disgustedly at the boy.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

Fransico looked at her as she was confused as well.
"I'm not very happy about this either, so why don't you try to make the best out of all this why don't you." replied Fransico as he replied back to Saill, not even giving her an eye contact for he knew who this girl was.

message 14: by Halle (new)

Halle She sighed. "Do you think they are putting us in the arena like this?" She asked but her question was answered as they stepped on the plate and it rose up.

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

"I guess they are.....looks like were not the only one." said Fransico as he saw two tributes as well chained together a mile away.
"It seems that this is the game for this year. We can try to remove if we have the equipements."

message 16: by Halle (new)

Halle "Alright then. Are we working together? Or should I just kill you now?" She asked looked around.

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

Fransico rolled his eyes as he avoided all eye contact.
"Thats really funny. What are you even gonna kill me with? You ain't got your weapons here, and your boyfriend isn't exactly here to support you either. Maybe next time you should think about what you really say before your blurt out thing." replied Fransico as he headed for the cornucopia ignoring Saill comments as best as he could have.
"You coming or what?"

message 18: by Halle (new)

Halle "I kinda have to. And don't think that I couldn't kill you without weapons." She said.

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

"You careers are really all the same aren't you?" said Fransico in a mocking tone.
"All you guys think about is death and weapons. You know life has a bit more to offer than that."
Fransico walked off kept ignoring her and quickly made his way for the supplies. His chains were really starting to bother him for he wanted to get away from this girl as far as possible.

Kåiłeē (kailee-one-who-hates-cheerios) | 2977 comments ((Sooo sorry I wasn't on all day! I was at a chatity event where you dance for 8 hours straight!! :) ))

Avalon shrugged her shoulders, feeling slightly bad for Sariah because she was only being slowed down because of Her weakness. She bit her lip, looking down at the roaring river and fear immediately coming into her heart. "I'm sorry I am useless." She said with all real sympathy in her voice. "But Do whatever you have to do to get me across..." She trailed off, locking her eyes on the water. "I doubt there is any shallow places in the river. The gamemakers wouldn't be that nice to us." She used her non-chained hand to grab onto the tip of one of her braids and chew on it nervously. "Is there another way around??

Tallia pulled Matt along, growling in frustration as he slowed her down a lot, but didn't say much about it. She slowed just a bit to let him catch up next to her. She didn't even give him the satisfaction of looking at him as he spoke. "What makes me so sure?" She asked between breaths of air. "I am sure that I need to kill each person in the arena in order to leave here..." She lept over a log and continued on. "And I can see that it won't be hard to kill someome like you."

Trailing off for a moment, Tallia tried to focus more on keeping herself on her feet as she went over the rugged terrain. She thought about where Aiden might be, and who in the world he was chained up to. She tried to push images of him paired up with someone like Nova, and instantly began to feel sick. There was one person in this whole arena that she was 100% sure she wouldn't have the guts to kill... And that was Aiden.
What she didn't know at the moment was that Carat and Aiden were only about 100 yards to her left, heading in the same direction as her and Matt.

♥Emi Love♥ Come Along, Pond | 1060 comments As Alex quickly scaled the rope, she was glad her partner could at least keep up. Pulling herself up, Alex reached the tope with Meridith, quickly scanning that tributes were arriving quickly. Alex grabbed food and water. She swung a bow around her body, grabbed a quiver of arrows, daggers, and a sword. She shot a few tributes that were also climbing. ((Is it ok if she kills nonexistent tributes? Like the ones no one made?))

█║ ✕ Angel ‟ (sirsly) | 5 comments When the gong went off Aiden basically pulled Carat, well dragged him. Carat seemed in a daze, where was this kid? Aiden spin his wrist and wrap his fingers around the chain-link pulling the two towards the cornucopia, dodging bullets here and there he had to force a hand on Carat's shoulder to keep him out of harm's way. When he wrapped a finger around the bow and arrow he slung the two over his back, grabbing an axe with his left hand he swing his head over his shoulder at Carat. He lets out a sigh and shoves a sword into the boy's hand, "come on man! I can't lose you right now!" As he turn around he start his feet up again, but this time he wasn't looking where he was going, he was looking upwards at the food ontop of the cornucopia, bumping into a body he instantly go into defense mode, slamming a hand onto the person's waist.

His eyes widen when he realize it's "Tallia?" He pull his hands back and look over her shoulder for any enemies. "Nice partner." He grin as his breath quickly flee from his lungs, even in dangerous situations he'd be able to keep his cockiness going strong. "I've got basically useless Carat here."

Kåiłeē (kailee-one-who-hates-cheerios) | 2977 comments Tallia continued to drag Matt behind her, constantly having to tug on the chain to pull him faster, even if it meant he would stumble. He couldn't and wouldn't be her downfall in these games. BUt, she was still debating on getting rid of him the first chance she had. What if the Gamemakers planned some sort of thing where you have to be chained to your partner in order to pass through some sort of challenge? There was no time to debate killing him just yet, because they had just arrived at the chaos scene that was the cornucopia.

On the ground inside of the cornucopia was the mass array of weapons, and on top, the food and supplies. She knew she would need both, but her first priority was the weapons. Throwing herself down into the pile, she plucked out two daggers and stuck them in her belt. The third one she had grabbed was supposed to go there too, but she had to throw it at an incoming tribute that thought they would get a weapon or two. The boy she had hit fell to the ground in pain, trying to pull out the dagger that had lodged itself into his shoulder. She picked up a coil of two whips and held those in one hand, then looked around for her favorite weapon in the pile.
Leaning up against the back of the cornucopia was a sword. The sword was jet black, blade and all. In the handle it had blood-red and golden gems incrusted in the elaborate design that wrapped around the handle. Her breath caught in her throat as she pulled it out, gasping at it's beauty. It looked exactly like the one she had used in the training center... I guess it had paid off that she had used it during the private training session.

Turing on her heel with her two daggers and a whip tucked into her belt, a whip in one hand and her sword in another, she looked up to the top of the cornucopia, where Alex and her partner stood. "Alex! Come down-" she was cut off as soon as someone bumped into her from behind. She wiped around, snapping her whip and getting ready to stab the person in the gut when she realized it was only Aiden.
Aiden!
She pulled him into a hug instead of killing him, taking a deep breath now that she didn't have to worry about him any more. Opening her eyes she saw the person he was chained to: Carat. Quickly pulling away, she realized that she had just hugged Aiden for no apparent reason. She blushed slightly, looking over at Matt to see what weapons he had grabbed. "Yeah, he is a big help." she stated, her eyes scanning for any other source of attack. "Good thing you got paired with Carat though... after all you are allies... right?"

((Hey Emi... maybe since Alex is on top of the Cornucopia, and all her allies are down below, she could throw them some stuff onto the ground??))

█║ ✕ Angel ‟ (sirsly) | 5 comments "Yeah, I think the arena has him frozen though." The hug was nice to be honest, he even patted her back for a moment in the embrace- he loved it just as much as Tallia did. Pulling back he looked over his shoulder, was Carat his ally? Carat was a man, he wasn't a young kid- he would be just as vicious as Aiden when it comes to winning the games; probably worse.

"Where are you going next?" His eyes flickered to his left, making sure no tributes were to be coming at them, tightening his fingers around the axe until his knuckles turned white. "The food is at the top, what are we going to do?" There was no question, Tallia was his one and only ally- Carat was an exception.

Kåiłeē (kailee-one-who-hates-cheerios) | 2977 comments Tallia almost smiled at Aiden's comment about Carat being frozen, but stopped herself as she saw a girl tribute who had been separated from her partner trying to sneak around them to the weapons. Having no choice but to act, Tallia lightly pushed Aiden to the side and stepped in front of the girl. "Hey!" She shouted, shifting her grip on the handle of her sword. "Don't even think about it!" She yelled, taking a step closer and hearing the clinking of her chains. The girl took a few more steps forward, bending down to reach for an axe Tallia took this time to jump towards her, bringing her sword down on the girls shoulder. She screeched, but didn't drop the axe from her hands. "Drop it or I will kill you!" Tallia screamed as she stood over her, but despite her warning, the girl tried to scoot away as sobbing tears came out of her eyes.

Sighing deeply, Tallia knew what she had to do. She glanced down at her arms, already seeing a new vine being burnt into her skin. But in order to get closer to her goal of coming out alive, she would have to start wasting people.

Thats when the fighting began. She brought her sword down hard, prepared to finish the girl off with a quick slice, but it was met with the blade of her axe. It seemed as if she had done some training with an axe prior to the arena, and it was showing. Tallia immediately went into battle mode, slashing and stabbing with the grace of a butterfly but the sting of a bee. She was flawless in her movements and even more efficient with each stab. The final blow came from Tallia, bringing down the tip of the sword hard in and through the girl's chest, twisting it around for good measure. The girl's eyes went blank and her final breath escaped from her chest when her body went still. She pulled the sword out of the girl's soft skin, turning on her heel and walking back over to her group of allies. As she approaches them, she said nothing at first as they stared. It seemed to be as if the cat was out of the bag when it came to her sword fighting skills.

Before saying anything else, Tallia brought the tip of her sword down hard on the chain that joined Matt and herself, cutting through the metal as if it was butter. She cracked her whip down on his hand just to scare him, then pointed the tip of her sword by his throat. "GO!" She yelled in rage at him, gritting her teeth. As he scrambles away, Tallia looked up to Alexandrite, remembering her words. "Alex! Throw us each a pack of food." There were now four in there group because Matt and Meridith had both been 'cut.' She looked at Carat and Aiden, seeing the chain still on them. "Leave that on." She seemed demanding, yet unordinary calm for all that had just happened. "We might need someone who is chained up for something that happens here in the arena."

Finishing with a sigh, she waited for someone to do something in response. She was breathing just a tiny bit heavier from her fight, but not much. The only thing different about her at the moment that you could see was the pained look in her eyes. She couldn't get the girl's dying face out of head, and it was really staring to affect her. She got goosebumps on her arms and began to shake slightly, her tattoo's rippling under her skin. Without realizing it, she had taken complete charge of the situation while most of the others waited for someone else to do so. But hey... That what she had been trained for.

Alex saw Meridiths movements and knew she was gonna break the chain. She silently sighed, hoping the girl didn't believe she had gotten one past Alex. Alex took her sword and sliced it through the rest of the chain attached to herself. She grabbed a packet of food and two water bottles for each person and tossed them down. "Do you guys see anything to hold all this stuff with?" The chain could come in handy for any reason, and she jumped of the Cornucopia. "If you guys decide you need anything else," she said, dusting her hands off, "It'll have to be you two," she nodded towards Carat and Aiden, "Seeing as how you two are the only ones still together. But that may also slow us down. At least you guys are both allies. So, do you guys know where you want to start heading." With a quick flash of limbs, Alex threw out two daggers, and released one arrow, hitting two more people, without missing a beat and all in the blink of an eye. The solid boom of the cannon echoed through the arena.

█║ ✕ Angel ‟ (sirsly) | 5 comments Aiden watched the girl he felt he knew all too well with care, the one he'd named a girlfriend, or maybe just friend. As she began to slice and pry with the girls fear, Aiden felt it was a bit irrational, he felt his feet pulling and tugging- his lips wished to be opened; he wanted to tell her to stop. But this was the games, if they wanted to get out alive they'd have to take a couple lives before the day was over. "Seems I'm not the only one with training." He look down at his leg that had a bit of blood on it, looking back up at Tallia with a calm expression he exhale. "Do we need more food? I might be able to get Carat and I up there somehow." The other tributes were dodging them now, after what happened to the girl who'd used her luck no one seemed to come forth and challenge Tallia. That might be her style on killing, but Aiden doesn't just kill anyone- he has to have a reason.

Looking from Tallia to the cornucopia he weigh his options, he'd probably get he and Carat undone later and they might not be able to get the food later- there might not even be food later. They should take advantage of this option now.
