Thank you :D you'll enjoy the second one if you're wanting her to be stronger.. But the romance factor, you only get a glimpse of what could happen. Book 3 is the book to show you who she chooses ;)

Sorry Valerie but I have to ban you from doing anymore R2R's. You did not post your review and I sent you a message and didn't hear back. Sorry again but those are the rules.

This book was provided from the author for honest literary review.
Abbii (love the spelling here) has lived her life fearful of sleep. sleeping brings dreams. Dreams bring creatures out of the darkness into her mind. Not a good look for a teenage girl. Then there's a yummy new guy, but does he like her or some of the more active popular crowd???
I liked Abbiis story very much. The concept is unique. Even though there is the ultimate battle between light and darkness, being able to center her powers based on the energy from light was intriguing to me. Mate was my favorite part. I love it when a man goes all knight in shining honor to protect those he loved.
The part I really couldn't connect with is the teachers willingness to let the whole school die on order to protect Abbii, to me that didn't make sense. Most teachers go to war to protect their students, all od them....not just a few who are special. Other than that a solid entertaining read.
Michelle McQueen

Abbii had been afraid of the dark for four long years. She hated the eerie silence that filled the night.
She would often try to forget by closing her eyes at night, but she would always be met by dreams of Shadows that would attack her, dragging her into the Darkness. Most nights, she would simply lie there with her bedding wrapped tightly around her, hoping that she would drift off into a dreamless sleep.
Ever since that day four years ago, the dark had frightened her; she had thought it would be a curse throughout the whole of her life, but something changed when she met him.
The dark seemed to lose its power and the moon’s light brightened.
Her dreams didn’t stop; nightmares still stole her sleep, but there was always a figure of Light that would save her and allow her to wake.
He said the same thing every night in her dreams. Keep fighting, Abbii.
She thought that he was part of her imagination, someone that she had created to save herself, until she met him and was drawn into his bright hazel eyes.
His name was Nate.
