Brandon was at work.

Hope walked into work, "Hey Brandon." she said

"Hello, Hope."

"Sorry I'm late." she said tying her apron on

"No problem. Slow day today."

"Looks like it." Hope said scanning the place

He nodded, wiping down the counter.

She went to wash out one of the blenders

He waited for customers.

"Want me to make you anything?"

He grinned and raised an eyebrow. "Why do you ask that?"

"Cuz I'm making myself a Strawberries Wild." she said

He chuckled. "Sure. Kiwi Strawberry." He said, smiling.

Hope nodded and started to make their drinks

He ruffled her hair. "You're a good co-worker, you know that?"

Hope smiled, "Thanks." she said handing him is Kiwi Strawberry, "You are too."

He took it and grinned. "Thanks."

"Anytime." she said sipping hers

He drank his.

Hope made a face, "Ahh brainfreeze." she said

He chuckled and poked her forehead. "I have never experienced my brain freezing."

She laughed a little, "Lucky."

He grinned and shrugged.

After a few moments she smiled, "It's gone." she said

He looked at her forehead as if looking inside her head. "It takes that long for them to go away?"

"Sometimes." she said, "Depends on how bad it is."

"Ah..."

"So you've really never gotten a brainfreeze?"

He shook his head. "I've even tried to get it. Doesn't work so much."

"Now that's just sad."

He chuckled. "I'm immune to my brain freezing."

"Like I said before, lucky." she said smiling

He shrugged. "Oh, customer." He put his drink below the counter and went to take the woman's order.

Hope went to make the woman's order

He made small talk with her.

Hope brought the drink to the counter, "Have a nice day." she said brightly

Brandon smiled and the woman left.

She waited for the woman to leave before taking another sip of her drink

He took out his drink again and sat up on the counter.

Hope sat next to him, "So any plans for the weekend?" she asked

"Not that I know of. Who knows? I could get bored and go for a walk, be struck by lightning, than have the powers of an ultimate being." He shrugged. "But as far as I know, I'm staying home."

"Ooh sounds like fun." she teased

He chuckled. "How about you?"

"Staying home." she said, "And avoiding my ex at all costs."

"Why is that?"

"He's mad at me for breaking up with him and feel like he might hurt me or something."

He frowned. "Wanna come over to my place this weekend?"

"Really?"

He nodded. "Yeah. This dude doesn't know where I live."
