flag
Flags are that much of a thing here in the U.K. The only fuss over the Union (Jack) Flag was that Wales did not have any stamp on the Flag. We use flags for symbolic things such as showing support in a sporting event or flying it at half mast to remember a lost person. With regards to burning it I think it needs to be looked at and then if the case is serious, such as it being the start of an act of terror then action taken. But if it's just some drunk person then maybe a fine or community service

Its a symbol that should be taken seriously but should not be considered treason since it is a scrap of fabric.
Also you're supposed to donate your worn out flags so they can be disposed of respectfully but that process includes burning them which never made sense to me.
Yeah. I find that strange. Not that there's anything wrong with it but it shows what an influential symbol the flag is.
Legal. It's a flag. If you burn someone else's flag then it's destorying someone else's property, but go ahead burn your own flag! You bought it, and as long as it's not hurting anyone or their propoerty, do what you want.
Still applies, Burn your own damn property if you wish, now burning something in public, no, once again refrerring to laws already in place. But a video on the internet or a statement, sure go ahead. Be a hate mongor all you want.
Random thought:
So it's a disgrace to burn the flag, yet, they make these tiny little bikinis that show way to much skin, and they are decorated with the flag colors, and that's not a disgrace?
