Book Review Club discussion

Hi, everyone! I decided to create a folder for general swapping. The genre specific folders keep getting buried, and I thought it would be a good idea to have a general folder anyway. This way, no one feels that they have to swap within the same genre. So, feel free to list your book here, and I would suggest letting everyone know what kinds of books you are interested in reading. Most of us read within multiple genres anyway. You are still welcome to post to the genre specific folders (you just need to create a new topic and select the correct folder).

If anyone has concerns about doing reciprocal swaps (if you're worried that your review may influence theirs in some way or you're not sure that they'll follow through), a good idea might be to agree to wait to post your reviews until both are complete. It could help ensure more honest reviews and quicker follow through. (Basically, you won't get a review until you post yours.)

So, if you are interested in swapping reviews with someone, feel free to start a new topic in this folder or post here with the name and some info about your book. And then make sure you mention what other genres you enjoy.

I would also like to suggest three way swaps, or just signing up for the Review Exchange! It is probably best not to do direct swaps with someone else; not only may your review influence theirs and vice versa, but also, Amazon is cracking down on review swaps and has been deleting reviews they find not to be legit.

If you are interested in doing a three way swap, just post here to say that is what you would like to do. Then the next two people who are interested could do a three way swap with you.

I too am looking to do review swaps.

My book is a thriller in the pulp/noir style. It's called Another Day Another Name.

It has adult situations (rated R) and is written in episodic fashion so if those elements turn you off then it might not be a good fit. But if you like a thrilling story message me and we can make the swap.
