Oh, I just noticed there is no mobi :( I'll try putting a pdf onto my kindle but there's a slight chance that i'll have formatting errors, I'll tell you if that happens.

Gabby you know what I do know, I went to my amazon account and added my personal email address to the approved mailing list in your account info.

Then when I get pdfs or mobi books from authors I email my kindle address from my personal email address in the subject you write convert and the books all show up on my kindle. no errors so far.

Don't forget to attach the book to the email though.

I do it by USB. Actually, even books I buy on amazon get formatting errors (rarely, but possible) but I'll try that and see what happens, thanks!!

Tana thanks for the convert advice. No matter what I used to open the PDF I was having the same 2-page problem as Gabby. Your instructions worked! I won't go "blind" from 6pt font :-)

Gabby how is was your problem solved? I converted the pdf to mobi but the sentences don't follow up.

I ended up having to open it with Sony ereading app. I can see the pages, I do have make it bigger ever two pages but it works. I tried converting it to epub but I had the same problem you did. then I left it as a PDF and opened with the Sony app, that helped. if you have a tablet it might work.

Happens to me A LOT. I'm still trying to find a way to solve it...me and my Dad went through it and converted and changed it into a txt file, but even then; some of the sentences didn't match up (but much better than before!) I had it gifted over to me, but haven't been connected to the internet for it to load on my kindle. Will try it tonight and see if it works!!

Sorry to anyone who is having problems reading the copy. That must be so frustrating! If any of you are still not happy with the copy, message me and I'll "gift" you an Amazon copy for Kindle.

Hey Kelly, you might also want to look into Mobi Pocket Creator, a free program where you can create Kindle compatible files straight from your Word doc. Also try Calibre, which is also free and can convert to ePub and a bunch of other formats. I use both of these program's all the time for ARCs and beta drafts :)

Just a general question though, what's the difference between the mobi and PDF and why do people have diff preferences? For the longest time, I thought mobi was for the Nook :)

Mobi is for the kindle sold by amazon.

Epubs work on sony ereaders, kobos, nooks, and of course ibooks (apple)

Pdf works on most but there is some issue if you put it on your ebook reader sometime the fonts are small and you cant enlarge the fonts.

There probably more but those are the basic one.

Oh and I use a free online converter its easy fast and so far has worked for me.

are there any others like this? I couldn't get this to load and now my computer is acting a little wonky after I tried. I'm going to work with it a little more today, but just wondering if anyone had any ideas about another converter site.

I can't wait to see how you continue the story, Kelly! It was one of my faves. And Elizabeth, your blog deserves an OMG from me. Haha. This is pretty much how I imagined this book too, except for the fact I envisioned a younger version of Myself as Dani! Hahaha. Always in some sort of relationship drama and forever on adventures. Kit is totally my best friend from childhood and Brody is the younger version of my own little brother. The picture of Hanging Lake on your page caught my eye too! I live not even an hour from this amazing place! I've made several trips there to get inspiration for my own writing and I thought about it as I was reading Tent City. So yes, OMG!!! =)
