You know I am so torn when it comes to this series. I think that the writing is awful and I know that I should probably hate these books but when I first read them I was hypnotized, like could not put them down. Recently, I was thinking that maybe it was just because I was young and so I started to listen to them on CD....guess what, still like them. I don't know what it is, some type of black magic.
I LOVED THE SERIES! Maybe the writing style wasn't perfect, yet it is not fair to say Bella is stupid. She's just a book character. I mean, if I was in her place, I wouldn't give my life for a boy I barely know, but that is Bella's choice. She has her flaws- she is clumsy, insecure but she has good parts to her as well. she is smart, good at cooking and nice. Also, Hush, Hush is commonly known as "A Twilight re-read." the two books for me were totally different, and just because a regular girl falls in love with a boy with supernatural powers doesn't make the book like Twilight. there are a couple similarities, but nothing is one hundred percent original. The Fault in Our Stars had awful writing. It had a good premise, but I had to cringe at times. It was plain and it seemed as if John Green had to make everything memorable. The only good parts was when he let his guard down (like the Peter Van Houten scene) and didn't make the writing so horrible. And all the TFIOS lovers never cared to notice, so why do all the Twilight Haters complain about the writing when the Fault in Our Stars had much, much worse writing in my opinion? People may have a different view, and that is okay, but I don't think Twilight is a horrible book.
