I'm struggling, I really am. I am very tempted to put this one down, but I hate to quit halfway through. I'm just struggling to remain interested. Is it just me, maybe it's just not the right time for my brain to be engaged in this one?
Done, I'm through! Phew, Alana, you're right, I have the same problem. I'm losing interest, skip paragraphs, and pick up other books. It's sad.Although I must say that I am now interested in Anne. She's obnoxious, and I like it ;)
I'm determined to finish it, though I'm not sure why, but yes, anytime the opportunity to pick up another book comes along, I jump at the chance. Iselin, are you done with this section or the whole book?
Only this section. I started section #5 yesterday. There's one curious thing about this book: Everytime I'm on the edge of throwing it in the corner a really funny dialogue or observation comes along. Every - single - time. This time it was the title of chapter #1 struck me: Anna Regina. It was exactly what I was talking about above.
"By the tits of Holy Agnes, it's freezing." I have no idea why, but this struck me as ridiculously funny and I laughed out loud when I heard it (I'm doing this on audio). Just such a contradictory phrase, it really made me laugh.Sorry, back to reality now.
