Great Job Kasia ! What did you think of Uglies?

Uglies was gooooooooooooooood. Despite some flaws, Uglies got 5 stars from me. I know Westerfeld is negotiating movie details this week, and I just finished reading it - so very exciting.

But I can see how some people might have issues with Uglies, or further in the series (with Specials) Westerfeld goes on and on about Cutters and critique of self-mutilation comes too late. So in that aspect, it's not the greatest YA novel ever. But if it's the entertainment you're looking for - that's guaranteed. I'd put it in the same box as The Hungers Games and Ender's Game. It's so much fun, there's action, there's romance, there's plenty of thought provoking material. A good read overall.

Oh silly, me I've missed that. Congrats Shazzy, yet another challenge completed.

Thanks Kasia and Yz. I'm a fast reader so hopefully I'll be able to finish all five. Plus, I'm going away for the rest of the month so that means no work to distract me from what's really important - reading!

This group looks like a lot of fun and I hope it helps me to manage my out of control TBR mountain.

I've got unread books that are coming up on the year mark and now I'm starting to get guilty every time I buy a new book. My book buying has really gotten out of control within the last year. I needs to start reading these books!
