Judith Post | 622 comments I really liked Spider's Bite, Leigh. I liked her second book, too.

message 9: by Leigh (new)

Leigh | 697 comments I need to pick up the second one.

message 10: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 622 comments I want to get the third one, but I'm so far behind in my reading, I'll probably have a list of Spider books before I get to them.

message 11: by Leigh (new)

Leigh | 697 comments That's what happens to me.

message 12: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 622 comments Maybe that's a good thing:) It means there are LOTS of good books out there!

message 16: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 622 comments Is One Grave at a Time near the end of the Bones/Cat series? She's finishing that series, isn't she?

message 17: by Leigh (new)

Leigh | 697 comments She is coming out with another one pretty soon.

message 18: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 622 comments Will that be the last one? I thought I read that she was closing that series.

message 19: by Leigh (new)

Leigh | 697 comments I'm not sure.

Miss Marple and Mystery The Complete Short Stories by Agatha Christie

message 22: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 622 comments Midu, did you like Miss Marple?? She's one of my favorites.

Cefa, Are Irish mysteries cozies, like Agatha Christie? Or are they just set in Ireland? Which sounds lovely, in and of itself.

Leigh | 697 comments Judith, I am almost finished
Wolf's Bane by Judith Post and loving it. I will have my review up in a couple of days. Loving me some gargoyle, Damian. Who knew a gargoyle could be so yummy?

I do! I get how some people might not like her but so far, I have.

woohoo!

message 26: by Leigh (new)

Leigh | 697 comments Wolf's Bane by Judith Post I really enjoyed it.

message 27: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 622 comments Thanks, Leigh! I sure enjoyed writing Damian. Found out I have a thing for strong heroes carved out of marble:) But then, I was pretty fond of Andre, too--a werewolf who cooks. It worked for me:)

Glad you like Miss Marple, Midu! It's hard to beat Agatha Christie's puzzles. She totally fooled me with The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. (I think that was Poirot).

message 28: by Leigh (new)

Leigh | 697 comments It was a toss up between Damian and Andre. Both were yummy!

Fool Moon (The Dresden Files, #2) by Jim Butcher

message 30: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 622 comments John's brother is getting here tonight and staying for a few days, and Robyn comes on Friday. No reading for me for a minute. Hope you both find fun books to enjoy.

message 33: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 622 comments Everyone's still asleep. Jim didn't get here until after midnight last night. His plane was late. I love cooking for company--get to make the things I don't cook very often. My daughters and I are working together to make chicken enchiladas on Friday. They're picky about how to flavor the roast chickens. It should be fun to listen to them bicker.

message 34: by Leigh (new)

Leigh | 697 comments That sounds like fun!

message 35: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 622 comments Holly and Robyn have a history of trying to outcook each other. They threw 3 BBQ rib competitions to decide who made the best ribs, and thankfully, each girl won once and then Tyler (my grandson) beat them both in the last cook-off. He loved it! Now, they've moved on to chicken enchiladas. Works for me. I get extra help in the kitchen:) And they keep it friendly.

message 36: by Leigh (new)

Leigh | 697 comments As long as it is friendly, everyone benefits. Good food and good natured competition. my husband and his friend to the same thing. They cook pastalaya or BBQ. It is fun!

message 37: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 622 comments It is fun. We're no Iron Chefs, but it's a good time!

Judith Post | 622 comments Hi, Leigh! Happy reading.

message 43: by Leigh (new)

Leigh | 697 comments Hi, Judith! How have you been? I have three buddy reads/series going on right now. Sometimes it is hard to keep them straight.

message 44: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 622 comments I've been good, writing a lot this year. Three series at a time? You're brave:)

message 45: by Leigh (new)

Leigh | 697 comments That's great, Judith. We are trying to space them out. Start one at the beginning of the week and the next Thursday or Friday. The third we throw it in somewhere. It takes some getting use to.

message 46: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 622 comments I still think you're brave:)

message 47: by Leigh (last edited Sep 09, 2014 07:15AM) (new)

Leigh | 697 comments Thank you. I think of it as helping to clear off my TBR list also a few of them are re-reads. My TBR list keeps growing.
