Have you read
The Backwoodsby Lee? I thought it was an incredible book.
I haven't read Coven, and I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it much, Kevin. I think most authors have at least one bad book under their belts.

Aaron, it's not that I didn't like the book, I was just expecting much more from Lee. I gave it 3 stars which isn't bad. I'm sure there are die hard horror fans who would enjoy this book.
I know that, Kevin. I'm just saying you might like The Backwoods a lot more is all.

I just wrapped this one up.
I wasn't overly impressed with this novel, actually I was underwhelmed.
A lot of gore and action, but not much else. I also wasn't impressed with the philosophical mumbo jumbo surrounding the existential attitude( a sense of disorientation and confusion in the face of an apparently meaningless or absurd world). This conclusion is easily drawn from the character Jervis and his passion for Sartre.
I felt that Lee was trying to impress any academics who may read his book by saying "Hey, look at me, I'm writing a book with a deeper meaning than what shows on the surface".
I get it Lee, it just didn't work for me.
