I don't know why they use the term "demon" in the synopsis for this book, seeing as it not mentioned in the book AT ALL. This book is nothing like TMI, so you can give it a try if you want. ;)

Cassandra Clare is not the only person that has written about Nephilim or demon hunters. I have read several series about those from other authors that wrote about them before Cassandra did, she didn't invent them. Although hers is by far my favorite of all that I have read.

Does anyone have information about the second book? I NEED it
Bhargavee, I have read the entire Immortal Instruments series and Unchained. I'm actually a big nephilim trope fan and have read several by different authors. None of them have made me think of the other really. So I'd say it's a reader's individual perception. This one didn't do that well in terms of sales. I've asked and others have asked Jenn if she will continue the series. So far, her answer has always been no. She said the timing of it wasn't right and has moved on to other book ideas that have been better received I guess. I keep hoping she'll change her mind though.
You could always ask her directly or send a note to her publisher. The more she and her publisher hear fans are interested, the more likely she could be to give us a second book. =)
