Amy Thank you for the video. I'm reading (and enjoying) the book on my Nook, but because it's a Nook Simple Touch all the photos are in black and white.

Anna Nice touch with the music! :-) Those first few dolls looked like her children.

Anna Bill wrote: "Thanks, Anna. Though these are mostly snapshots, a reader yesterday commented on what a personal view of Huguette this is, how he found the photos and the music tender, touching. I'm glad that was ..."

It was totally respectful, and the music was fitting - I loved that her violin was used to play it. It did feel personal. I was moved. In fact I loved it all and am completely entranced by your book. I also meant to say, that those first few dolls looked like what her children might have looked like if she had any. :-(

Vickie Loved the photos. And I found the book to be fascinating. My husband is from Butte MT so I know a bit about the history of the Copper Kings, but nothing about William Clark's family.

I first heard about Hugette Clark on NPR and couldn't wait for the book to come out.

Michelle I just recently went to the Corcoran Museum and saw the W.A. Clark art collect along with the beautiful room they have from her childhood home.
