Anyone else wonder why Harry ONLY saw the Weasley's at Kings Cross?I thought, at least in Harry's letter, that's where it said to meet. Are there other train stations that lead to or have a platform 9 and 3/4.
As I'm writing this...also made me think. Is Hogwarts actually in Britain? Is this why there aren't others who use Kings Cross? Do the children come from all over the world?
I believe Hogwarts is in Scotland.
I don't think there are other stops on the Hogwarts Express, so I always assumed that everyone had to go to London to get on the train, which thinking about it doesn't seem very fair. Think about a muggle born from say Ireland whose parents would have to fly him/her to and from London at the start and end of every school year. That can't be cheap.

There is quite an interesting piece of information that I remember reading about this (possibly on Pottermore) It discusses how students used to travel on broomsticks and by many other means, until it was found that they were attracting too much attention and the Minister of Magic decided that the best way was to use muggle transport.I think the reason it was London is because it was thought that lots of oddly dressed people in London would be more subtle that lots of oddly dressed people anywhere else.
