Appearance: Holly is a sort of classic beauty, with a glossy cataract of ebony hair, pearl-hued skin, rosy cheeks, vibrantly crimson lips, and large sapphire eyes framed with silky sable eyelashes. She shares her grandmother Bellatrix's high, regal cheekbones, and emaciated, lanky figure.

Personality: Holly is a fervent bookworm, a bit like Hermione Granger. Despite the priority she places on her studies, Holly is loyal, chivalrous, valiant, noble, and true to the end, fearlessly defending her loved ones, even under the threat of death. Holly had nearly been put into Gryffindor by the Sorting Hat, but was finally sorted into Ravenclaw, as a result of her slight off-kilter spaciness. However, she has a temperament like a volcano, and is as stubborn as a mule, refusing to back down in the face of an adversary.
History: Holly is the grandchild of Bellatrix Black and Voldemort (yes, I really did type that). Bellatrix, having no affection whatsoever for Rodolphus Lestrange, decided to leave him for her true love: Voldemort. Their child, Holly's mother, Cygnella Black, had no desire to be even slightly associated with the Dark Arts, so her parents disowned her. Cygnella, previously schooled in the darkest arts by her parents, transferred to Hogwarts and pleaded with Dumbledore to permit her to stay at Hogwarts over the summers. Cygnella passed both her O.W.L.s and N.E.W.T.s with the highest distinction. After graduating from Hogwarts, Cygnella took a job as an Auror, and fell in love with a dashing Irish vampire she met on a mission, named Eoghan O'Riley. Soon after their secretly conducted marriage, their first child, Holly, was born. Unfortunately, Cygnella was assassinated by a vengeful Bellatrix, and Eoghan was killed by a mob fired up by Rita Skeeter's rants against vampires. Holly has dwelt in an orphanage ever since.

It isn't the happiest life, but his parents both being squibs who knew about the wizarding world ensured he would be cared for well, but after their deaths their money was locked in Gringotts. He is picked up regularly by a member of the Hogwarts faculty to attend school.

Legend says the Olive tree was given to the people of Athens by the goddess Athena, and as such, Greek Olive has a reputation for boosting wisdom and wit. Because of this, it is often a Ravenclaw wandwood. Billywig blood assist in jinxes making very strong jinxes and hexes.

Found most commonly in the hands of Ravenclaws, Kneazle Whiskers channel the Kneazle's ability to sense the intentions of others into a wand that is excellent for Divinations and defensive magic.
The legality of a Vampire Venom core is questionable at best. While it is possible for a dying vampire to leave their Venom to a loved one upon their death, most Venom is acquired by illegal harvesting rings, which kidnap either adult vampires--or, all too often, muggle children, who are then forcibly transformed-- in order to sell their venom on the black market. As a vampire dies without its venom, the trade is, understandably, outlawed.
Even the legality of an ethically obtained Venom wand is debated, as the Venom has a particular aptitude for Hexes, the Dark Arts, and Curses, especially the Cruciartis Curse.
Sphinx Whisker wands are rather rare overall, but particularly so outside of Egypt. They channel the Sphinx's natural proficiency for riddles into boosts to Charms and Curses, and tend to bond to those who are both clever and creative. The wielder of a Sphinx wand typically has one of two different personality types; on one hand, they could be mysterious, reserved, and constantly calculating, rarely to be taken by surprise. FACECLAIM: Logan Lerman
Description: Liam isn't very stocky by any means and while he does have a slight definition of muscle, it's nothing to be proud of. In his mind he looks average. Personally he thinks his skin is too pale and his hair is annoyingly messy all the time. One thing to note about him is that he always has a sort of rumpled look to his uniform. Liam also often smells of dust and parchment paper, it's no doubt due to the fact he often spends all his free time in the library or in the common room studying books about magic.

Personality: Calling Liam a bit shy would be an understatement. The guy can hardly hold a conversation with those he's not comfortable and familiar with. In fact, Liam finds that the trouble he goes through when trying to socialize is almost not worth it and would be perfectly fine as a complete friendless loser.
Nervous. It's not a very good trait to have, but Liam can get incredibly nervous. When he talks to strangers he finds that he stumbles over his words and has a hard time carrying a conversation. The only time that you'll catch a glimpse of a confident Liam is when he's in Ancient Studies, or a History of Magic. It's there that his talents really shine. He loves the history of magic, and because of that when he's in that class he's incredibly confident in his every action. You might also see confident Liam if you find him in the library and ask him questions. Get Liam around someone that he likes though? It's all over. He'll stumble over words, lose all his coordination skills, and most likely he'll stutter.
Forgiving. He's not one to dwell on the past, nor is he one to hold a grudge. Even if you are his worst enemy he's likely to forgive you if you show even the slightest inclination of being kind. Liam is the kind of person that if you want to be friends with him, he'll let you. He's the kind of guy that if you talk to him twice, he'll think you're friends. He's actually quite naive and a bit sensitive in the area of trust. He often trusts others with too much ease and doesn't realize when he's being used for the benefits of others.
Strengths: Intelligence. Get him started on a subject he loves and he'll blossom with confidence.
Weaknesses: Liam is trusting, and naive. This combination just leads to the fact that when he thinks someone is his friend, they could indeed just be using him to get the answers to the latest potions assignment. Not to mention that Liam is rather terrible at DADA.
History: Long ago there were two young teenagers named Aleighna and Gabriel. Gabriel, being a football player and a stereotypical one at that, was all about his hormones. He used girls faster than a sick person uses kleenex. Then there was Aleighna, who was a smart rather nerdy and very naive Ravenclaw girl. Self-conscious about her appearance she fell faster than a sky-diver for Gabriel when back at home over the summer break. So Gabriel took her to a party, and when she wouldn't put out? He slipped some muggle drugs into her drink and raped her when she passed out.
The result being one little Liam. Ashamed about what happened to her, Aleighna never told anyone except for Gabriel and he denied anything that she said. Aleighna, too embarrassed to return to Hogwarts dropped out during her seventh year, and when her parents found out about her pregnancy? They blamed her and kicked her out. Leaving London she moved in with a cousin in Scotland. Unfortunately Aleighna ended up getting terribly ill and dying during Liam's birth. With the loss of the young girl and no one to take care of the baby boy left behind, Liam was raised by his Aunt Clarissa.
For years she raised him and try as she might Liam just wasn't a very sturdy child. He was constantly getting ill, which might explain why he developed such a love of books and learning. It wasn't as if he was strong enough to play sports. When Liam turned eleven his life finally changed for the better upon the arrival of his Hogwarts letter. Shortly after the arrival of the letter his grandparents decided to reach out to him and took him in with them.

Wood: Alder, dyed to it's darkened hue. Alder is an unyielding wood that works best with those whom are kind and helpful. It's because of this that Liam's Alder wand is especially helpful, excelling in charms but due to his rather kind nature his wand doesn't do well with DADA spells.
Core: Unicorn Hair: They are the most faithful of all wands, and are incredibly hard to turn to using the Dark Arts. They remain strongly attached to the owner, and Liam's wand in particular is all about faithfulness and strength. It's about being constant and being there for him, something he never had in his life before.

Laila is a slightly sententious young lady, not wishing to speak with others as commonly as another might. She is not one who is extremely social, nor is she one who is a misanthropic miser. She has a voice, a soft one that struggles to be heard over the din of the others. She is not one who tends to express herself readily; however, when asked of her opinion, she mostly gives her truthful feelings.
At first glance, Laila might seem like a friendly person, talkative and bubbly. After all, her looks certainly rank top when concerning of her simple yet stylish apparels. But what those who probe and near closer realize is she's extremely taciturn. She never opens up, never spills her darkest secrets to anyone, not even those closer to her; her dearest family and motley of friends. One would even be lucky to receive a small laugh from her; 'tis not that she has no humorous demeanor, but that what Laila presumes to be her bearings are not at all what she expected.
Onward to academics, intelligence is quite high of her; at age 3, she was perfectly capable of handling multiplication and division; by eight, she managed to master algebra easily by herself. Perhaps it might be because her parents pushed her to strive for success at an extremely young age before they abandoned her with their early submission to death, but Laila has always comfortable with academics.
Flaunting, though, of her many aptitudes, Laila finds immensely irritating. What nature has graced her with, she has accepted. She believes those noticing of her skills need not say more in terms of praise, but rather treat her the same as she is.

Raised strictly in the midst of Yorkshire, England, Laila was raised into a world where she was led in the direction to appreciate education for what it was. Earlier then, whilst most children were taught how to ride a tricycle or how to recite the alphabet, Laila was memorizing her multiplication tables and could recite up until the 20th table. Friends of her parents who came over for a visit always left in shock and awe, of how such a young toddler could already be able to tell the square root of 49.
Being too smart for her own good only backfired on Laila in her later years in school. Primary school became hell for her after she would become the receptor of insults and jeers tossed at her for always raising her hand in class. She was quickly diminished to be quiet, only acting diligent in her schoolwork and winning praise from teachers for her taciturn excellence in academic performance.
So, for a while, really, it seemed that there was no way for Laila to get away from all the torture school now presented to her. Until she received an acceptance letter to Hogwarts.
The rest was history. From that summer afternoon onward, Hogwarts became her new haven and Laila has learned a lot more than she had in her Muggle years. And for the first time, Laila actually feels at ease.

Laila is a slightly sententious young lady, not wishing to speak with others as commonly as another might. She is not one who is extremely social, nor is she one who is a misanthropic miser. She has a voice, a soft one that struggles to be heard over the din of the others. She is not one who tends to express herself readily; however, when asked of her opinion, she mostly gives her truthful feelings.
At first glance, Laila might seem like a friendly person, talkative and bubbly. After all, her looks certainly rank top when concerning of her simple yet stylish apparels. But what those who probe and near closer realize is she's extremely taciturn. She never opens up, never spills her darkest secrets to anyone, not even those closer to her; her dearest family and motley of friends. One would even be lucky to receive a small laugh from her; 'tis not that she has no humorous demeanor, but that what Laila presumes to be her bearings are not at all what she expected.
Onward to academics, intelligence is quite high of her; at age 3, she was perfectly capable of handling multiplication and division; by eight, she managed to master algebra easily by herself. Perhaps it might be because her parents pushed her to strive for success at an extremely young age before they abandoned her with their early submission to death, but Laila has always comfortable with academics.
Flaunting, though, of her many aptitudes, Laila finds immensely irritating. What nature has graced her with, she has accepted. She believes those noticing of her skills need not say more in terms of praise, but rather treat her the same as she is.

Raised strictly in the midst of Yorkshire, England, Laila was raised into a world where she was led in the direction to appreciate education for what it was. Earlier then, whilst most children were taught how to ride a tricycle or how to recite the alphabet, Laila was memorizing her multiplication tables and could recite up until the 20th table. Friends of her parents who came over for a visit always left in shock and awe, of how such a young toddler could already be able to tell the square root of 49.
Being too smart for her own good only backfired on Laila in her later years in school. Primary school became hell for her after she would become the receptor of insults and jeers tossed at her for always raising her hand in class. She was quickly diminished to be quiet, only acting diligent in her schoolwork and winning praise from teachers for her taciturn excellence in academic performance.
So, for a while, really, it seemed that there was no way for Laila to get away from all the torture school now presented to her. Until she received an acceptance letter to Hogwarts.
The rest was history. From that summer afternoon onward, Hogwarts became her new haven and Laila has learned a lot more than she had in her Muggle years. And for the first time, Laila actually feels at ease.
