The Spell for telling the future, which is the first spell in the first book and is done by Lilly and her ''mother Rose. Rose lit a small green candle and drew a chalk circle on the floor with white chalk. Lilly got up and brought through some bread, oil and salt from the kitchen. The idea for this spell came from when i was a small child and used to spend hours in front of the open fire in my mothers bedroom. I used to imagine, people and horse's dancing in the flames. I know about the red cloth from working in the Pitt Rivers Museum, however I seam to remember knowing about it beforehand as my eldest girl lived in Stroud were it came from.
