Tasnim walked out of the office, following the plump little guidance officer towards her first class. She looked around the hallway, taking in the new surroundings. Her school back home was nothing like this; the hallways were decorated with banners and trophies, notices advertising clubs piled up on top of each other, fighting to be seen. It was so weird but she was stuck here now. This was her new school for the time she was here
Danyal was reluctant to start his day in the college. Throughout his high school and now college, he was the butt of the joke. It doesn't help much when everyone in the college are the same ones who was in the high school with him. That's the perk of being in a small town, with few thousand people to inhabit it. The only few things good about it was a world renowned college in Arts and some historical importance of his city. Groaning, he entered his class and sit down on the back bench knowing if he tries to sit on the front, he will have a horrible day.
((um they are in college, freshman I think.))
The guidance officer walked her up to the class and told her the teachers name. She then wished her good luck and walked back down the hall. Tasmin watched her leave, both grateful and annoyed that she had left. Then, taking a deep breath she turned around and slowly walked into the room. Most of the kids were doing their own thing, taking and texting to their friends before the day began. So she wandered over to a vacant desk in the middle edge of the room and sat down, looking down at her phone for something to do.
Danyal was just furiously shuffling through different news feeds, looking for anything interesting before the class starts but there was nothing of interest today. Every news contains normal robbery, murders and attacks, so he just put down his mobile and looked up at a new girl who has kind of messy hairs. He has a urge to go and say hello but she was in the middle of the benches and it was enemies' territory for him, so he only just waved at her when she looked up from her mobile.
Tasnim sighed and looked around, running her hands through her thick hair. Then one of the boys at the back of the room waved and she turned to look behind her to see who he was waving to. but when she looked there was no one there so she turned back and looked at him again, wondering if he had actually be waving at her
Danyal only smirks when she looked back because it was so weird for her to think that he was waving at her. He had his eye contact with her, so she should know this but when she looked back at him again, he raised his one brow at her, smiling a little, letting her know that he was waving at her.
Tasnim smiled back at the boy, realising that he had been smiling at her. She hoped it was a good sign, she wasn't sure how friendly everyone would be on her first day but it seemed to be going ok
Danyal just smiled back, not knowing what to do. He had been attracted to her, the first instance he saw her walking into the class but if he try to pursue her, his whole college life is going to be ruined by his classmates, so he dropped his head down, so as to avoid any further talks.
Tasnim turned back around as the teacher walked in and sat at the desk at the front, facing the class. he was an odd looking man who obviously took himself very seriously. he straightened his tie and begun to call out the role
His historical arts teacher came in to the class and he sat up straight as he started to talk about the different art forms of the ancient Times and how they used to achieve the desired colors.
Tasnim was genuinely interested in what the teacher was talking about but she couldn't seem to keep her mind on what he was saying. The boy behind her kept creeping into her thoughts. She took notes and tried to listen but she couldn't concentrate
The rest of the class was same, just like always with their teacher saying about how things were done in the ancient times when it came to colouring on the walls and objects. Soon the class was over and everyone started to get up and go to their next lectures.
The teacher dismissed the class and Tasnim begun to pack up her gear. It had been interesting but she had learned all it before from her tutor. The other kids obviously found it a bore. ((Is she going to be a princess like Jasmine?))
Dan picked up his books and put them inside the bag he has draped over his torso and started to go out. His eyes were looking for her and when he found her alone, he approached her. "Hey, you're new here. I think you're the student exchange right ?" he asked, looking at her and around too at the same time.
(( Well that depends on you. Whatever float your boat. But I don't think a princess. Maybe just normally rich parents, who have enough money to spoil her if she wants to be spoiled. ))
She smiled as the boy approached her "yeah.... I'm Tasnim" she told him a little shyly. This was the first time she had really talked to someone her age that her parents hadn't introduced her to.((Ok we'll say rich than))
Dan nodded and forwarded his hand to shook with her, "Nice name, I'm Danyal." he replied with a smile. ((Aww don't make the poor girl this shy :P ))
((Hehe))"Thanks. I like your name too" she told him with the politeness that had been drilled into her since birth "so what your next class?" She asked, picking up her bag and walking out of the classroom
Dan blushed slightly at her compliment and just nodded his head, "My next class is of numismatics, and yours? I can show you around."
Tasnim smiled "i have Art" she told him "but i don't know where it is. It would be great if you could show me"
Dan nodded and pointed towards the right of where they were standing, "I think it's in the 3rd hall of the building." he said.
"Thanks" she said with a kind smile, swinging her bag over her shoulder "have fun at your class. I guess i'll see you later"
"Thanks" she said with a kind smile, swinging her bag over her shoulder "have fun at your class. I guess i'll see you later"
"Thanks" she said with a kind smile, swinging her bag over her shoulder "have fun at your class. I guess i'll see you later"
"Well I will try to although fun keeps its distance from me. But you enjoy your first day." Dan said, turning away from her as they both parted their ways. He don't think he stand a chance with her, guys will just line up for her and as always be will be the spectator.
Tasnim found herself smiling as she walked to her next class. She was happy that she'd already made a friend on her first day. She'd been a bit shy and unsure this morning but now she was feeling more confident.
((Fine i'll start :P ))Tasnim sighed as she finally walked into the cafeteria after walking around for a while trying to find her way here. This school was so big and she was finding it hard to find her place
Dan was sitting in a corner table when his eyes spotted her entering the cafeteria. He waved to her, to call her over.
She smiled as the boy who had talked to her earlier waved and called her over. "Hey" she said happily as she walked over, sitting down across from him
As Dan was about to open his mouth and say something another guy, more specifically the guy and whose gang has made his life miserable sat down too. "Oh hey you're new here ? I'm Nathan and you ?"
