Hi everyone. FREEDOM by Carol Anne Dobson, a sci-fi ebook for teens/YA is free from July 11th to July 15th.
It is a story which is clearly and succinctly written and could be used as a text book for language teaching.
It is a short novel which can be seen on two levels. It is:
1. a sci-fi adventure story
and 2. the international group of children and teenagers represent the human race. The human desire for freedom exists in these children, even although they have never known it, and have no idea what it is.
"The black visors of the robots made them seem even more emotionless than the other robots.... They stood very close to Logan, almost touching him, holding their weapons. For the first time in his life Logan realised that he was seen as a threat."
A robot civilisation governs Earth. The only humans alive on the planet are a group of children and teenagers who are being raised in different robot families. Sixteen-year-old Logan tries to find out where they have come from and what is going to happen to them. Can they escape? Why are there no other humans?
This science fiction fantasy is set in the robot city of Albuquerque, bounded by the Sandia Mountains and the Rio Grande River.

Hi Aditya, I misunderstood Smitha and thought I had posted it in the wrong thread, so I put it here! What I have written here is slightly different to the other one, so would prefer this one to be moved to the appropriate section and replace the other one. LOl, Carol.

Hi Aditya, I am to blame. Carol had posted initially in the correct thread. I went further to help her out by giving a link for the Amazon url where it can be downloaded. She mistook it for the thread were we are supposed to upload the information and got muddled.
