Has anyone finished this book yet?

message 2: by Linda (new)

Linda | 190 comments Yes. I read it a few months ago and thought it was extraordinary. It's very painful to read at times (think "Unbroken") but it's an unforgettable story.

It sounded like a difficult story. So I'm not taking it on my trip. I've got my Kindle stocked with easier reading and my iPhone with some good audible stuff.

I really hated this book. It's all I could do to finish it. I just wanted it to be over. It was torture.

Linda | 190 comments Oh my gosh! Did I read the wrong book? Some critics called it a masterpiece and I agreed completely. I couldn't put it down. I'm glad it had a love story too, as it elevated it from total darkness. Angelin didn't even finish it...I wonder how many felt as you did. We'll see Wednesday. I'm really, really surprised.

Me too. I was totally prepared to love it. I read the audio book and I wonder if that affected my opinion. I wouldn't have finished it had it not been a Literazzi book. The discussion tomorrow should be interesting.

Linda | 190 comments I really don't know what to expect tomorrow, but I'm going to brace myself. I'm on Team Loved It.
