Haha no I'm afraid not Brenda :)
If it gets returned from the library I will be reading A Tale for the Time Being, might even read The Siege
This book has been slowly moving up my TBR, so time to move on it. I heard Barbara Kingsolver on a podcast from the BBC World Bookclub. She was fascinating. I would recommend anyone interested in this book to head over and check it out.
BBC World Book Club
about half way down the page is the link. I could not find a direct link sorry ;-(
I think I might read View from the Summit: The Remarkable Memoir by the First Person to Conquer Everest by Edmund Hillary
Gosh Brenda, another great challenge. My problem now is to try and fit it into my existing TBR because looking at your links, there's a few books there I'm tempted to add!!!

Thanks for this challenge, Brenda. I'm going to read
for this one. I get to knock another one of my TBR which seems to have developed a mind of its own.

I'm currently reading And the Mountains Echoed which moves between Afghanistan and Paris, so that would have been perfect! But for my October challenge I'll have to try to fit in A Long Way Home which I think is set mostly in India. I've also got My Family and Other Animals to read for the Spring Challenge, and that's set in Greece.
Got one on my TBR list which is perfect!
Fordlandia: The Rise and Fall of Henry Ford's Forgotten Jungle City / Greg GrandinSet in the wilds of Brazil....
I might go for Khaled Hosseini's new book. I have been wanting to read it for a while now. Kabul seems like a pretty awesome and exotic place. And the Mountains Echoed
What a great idea! I might have a trip down memory lane and read Golden Bats and Pink Pigeons: A Journey to the Flora and Fauna of a Unique Island.
I will be travelling in October - spending a week visiting our oldest grandson in QLD I have earmarked
And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini for my plane trip - will fit into this challenge very well

I'm interested in reading it because I know that it will be more than just a travel guide and I have to disagree with you...I think you do have an exotic mind as it takes that to be able to read Coelho or at least an open mind.

No I haven't seen the movie Andrea. If i enjoy the book I'll try and get the movie. When you say its very moving does that mean there will tissues required?
Sharon, Sarah's Key is a wonderful story. I read it earlier this year, and thoroughly enjoyed it.Brenda, I'll have to think hard about this one. Great idea for a challenge.
I thought the book Questions of Travel looked a good read. I looked up the local library and oh my god it has 34 reserves!!!
