Yea, I'm good with whatever as well. I figured if you're a PhD student and still have time to read then so do I :)

Most of my reading is on a Kindle, so I'll be sure to meet that requirement.

I like a book a month. If it's a really long one we could give extra time. What if we have a big list of books and take turns choosing from the list? Or vote, that works too. :)

We want to keep all books to an approximate PG-13 level. As the Moderator I will do a little digging on any suggested books and determine if they are appropriate. I might miss something though so if anybody has knowledge about a book that might help, please let me know.

I created another discussion thread for a list of books, to get the ball rolling.http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...
Thanks for checking for content. As I was trying to choose some titles to add to the list it was hard to find how appropriate they are. Also, I think if we get reading a book and are uncomfortable with content, we could just sit that book out. What do you think?

I would agree with that.
I would agree with that.

My thinking is that the group would read the first book in a series and people could choose to finish it on their own.

What about a theme for a month, to which member submit books and then we vote to chose which one we read?I think this would lead to some variety.
The theme idea could be fun. I was thinking of making October the first month. If we want a theme we could go thriller? Like Frankenstein?
