Monica (monicaamman) I'm sure this has been asked a million times before. Could I have some suggestions of a good vampire book or series? I'm about to finish up the Sookie Stackhouse series. I've read the Morganville series back in high school. I've read Anne Rice but it's not my favorite. There are a few others that I can't remember.

I like vampires in the traditional sense but with a little something new, like in the Sookie Stackhouse series. Although I'm up for any vampire book or series really. Any ideas?

I haven't read the Morganville vampire series, so I am a bit unsure what type of vampires you like. I get the idea you like lighter, fun portraits of vampires, and then I would recommend "How to marry a millionaire vampire" series (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/26...), that it is very funny and sexy. In this portrait vampires have been feeding from the bottle for so long that their fangs get rusty...
Another more seriously erotic series starts with "Samson's lovely mortal", although the premise of the first book is quite funny (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/84...). I hope these two suggestions help.

Monica (monicaamman) I just mentioned the ones I could remember =] I am currently selling the Morganville ones so they are fresh in my mind. Haha.

I have the first one you mentioned on my "To-Read" shelf. I'll check out the other. Thanks!

Hi all just finished Kiss of the Butterfly by James Lyon. I found it to be a most refreshing modern day Vampire story, can't wait for the second installment.I think a lot of members would enjoy it.

Yvette Karns | 1 comments Another Vampire book I have read is VEMPires REvolution by Thomas Winship. It has been a while since I read it but I know I really enjoyed. Another one you that should be read is Whitechapel Road, a Vampyre Tale by Wayne Mallows . Now talk about a GOOD book. A different take on Vampires. If you like Dracula, you will definitely LOVE this one. Also, The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova is a good one. This one is about Vampires back in the old days. I know no one has posted on this Discussion Board for a while but I do hope this helped for those of you who were looking to read a little bit different type of Vampire book. I also have one called Vampire Elite (Vampire Elite, #1) by Irina Argo and Blood Destiny (Blood Curse, #1) by Tessa Dawn that I have not read. Can anyone tell me if they are worth my time? Thanks. Hope I get an answer
