the groups are a navy seal team and a contract company lead by an old member of the seal team. There is a romance between one of the seals and an woman from the contractors who i believe is described as Asian in appearance and very short. they go to have a training exercise in a remote wilderness area with lots of snow. The receptionist who acted as a hostage for the exercise wanders off and gets kidnapped by a serial killer
