Shay or Tally?

Tally because Shay was awesome at first, but after the Smoke, when she turned pretty, I really didn't like Shay anymore. At the end of PRETTIES, she really sort of turned on Tally, in some way, a little. In SPECIALS I wondered if she'd come out -@ the end to David and Tally's "New Smoke". She did and it shows that in EXTRAS, in EXTRAS Shay is a lot closer to the Shay the books began with. Any 1 agree?

Oh, Tally, definitely. Shay was great in Uglies, but I hated her in Pretties and... well, she was ok in Specials. But definitely Tally.
i totally loved shay before....but tally is my fav now XD
ikr? same here. she was just plain annoying at the end of uglies and for most of pretties.
Tally wasn't a bubblehead. She never took that medicine that made you think bubblehead-ly to some sort. I like Tally for so many reasons. It's not like it was her faut she and David fell in love with each other while Tally was Ugly. Also in the end of Specials Tally goes off with David which will probably bring them closer again. "HorrorChick Said: Tally is annoting, david loved her when she was "ugly" but she blows him off for a pretty."
If you had a choice and you were Tally, horrorchick, who would you choose? David, even when you were a pretty and you didn't remember who he was except that she used to like him? Or Zane who helped you bring back memories and would do as dangerous things as Tally? David who was a kind, hard worker, who picked Tally over Shay, or Zane who loved adventure was kind to Tally, ad had a reputation. I think I would do what Tally did just a little differently though. I would pick David, and turn pretty FOR him. When I hadn't heard from him for a month or two I would choose Zane. If I didn't know where Zane was, and Zane was beginning to get weak I think I would choose David again once Zane was gone.
I agree with both of you. At the end of Extras she gets back with David (I think) I think she might have eventually gone back to David even with Zane

i like tally better. shays character kind of became a ripoff towards the end of uglies and really a ripoff in pretties! and at the begining of specials she was nice to tally, but close to the middle she started hating her again! a typical special, i dont understand her at all! her mood changes all the time! TOTALLY TALLY! all the way! P.S i havent finished specials yet so can you please not spoil it for me!
im at the part in specials where tally just kissed zane in the wild on the way to the new smoke and she went all physico crazy on him just cause he wasnt special. i dont get it!

YEA PRETTY MUCH. oops sorry caps on. yea because when she is a special she has new nerves and cells and everything and a better metabolism (?) so she can sense things a lot clearer, so when she kissed Zane she could feel his disease and how weak he was and everything.

I haven't finished Specials yet..i just started. I preferred Shay during Uglies. I liked them pretty much the same at the very beginning of pretties, but through the middle I liked Tally better and in the end I hated Shay. From what I've read of Specials, I'm not liking Shay...even Tally is bugging me right now.
Shay was really cool in the first book, but after her brain was trivaled with so many times throughout the series, she became a different person. So did Tally, but because of Tally's point of view on everything, I felt like I could understand her and relate to her better than Shay.

If I had to say which one I think is the better person, I think Tally is!!! I mean, if it weren't for Tally meeting Shay, then she could've turned Pretty when she was supposed to!! If it weren't for Tally meeting Shay, then Tally could've lived happily ever after with Zane, and he wouldn't be dead. Lets all face the truth, Zane is dead because Tally turned Special against her will..... by Shay!!! I think if there's one villain in this whole series i think it's Shay.
I agree Shay is the one who starts all the fights between them
Tally because Shay is kool in the first half of uglies but gets MEAN!!!!!! and i cant stand special and pretty shay!!!!!!!

Some people think it was wrong of Tally to blow off David for a pretty, but at that point she didnt even really remember him. The book is showing you what the operation does to you mind, it even makes you forget your loved ones. I also think Tally was confused. Did she love David? Did she love Zane? They both were wonderful, but who did she want more?
Shay Tally sold out the smoke (even if it was on accident she still went out there to do that) plus Tally stole Shay boyfriend TWICE
this is sort of a hard question. i would have to say Shay i guess. she was a good character in the story, and she changed Tally into who she was in Specials.
shay bothers me because well first of all tally wouldn't have ever met david if it hadn't been for shay but also she would have never met zane. so she kind of crossed out each. but i think tally was put into to many situations and that it was shay's fault so i have to choose tally.
but then again, without shay, the series never would have been born
i guess i may like tally better because she's the main character and i could see from her perspective better.
