Legacy looked around wide-eyed as Connor led her to the Bistro.

Connor walked in and pulled Legacy in behind him.
"Are you still ok? We can leave if you feel threatened." He said.

Legacy squeezed his hand a little uncertain. "I'm fine really."

Connor nodded and walked to a table he pulled out a chair for Legacy.
"What do you want to eat?" He asked.

Legacy sat down and looked at the menu. "I'm not sure maybe pasta? You?"

"Pasta works for me." Connor smiled, and hailed a waiter.
He ordered for them and turned back to Legacy.
"You are really brave. Im happy you arent that scared anymore." He smiled.

"I feel safe with you." Legacy told him softly.

Connor smiled warmly at her.
"Im glad you feel that way."

A waiter brought their food and drinks.
Connor didnt eat. He wanted to wait for Legacy to try it first.

Legacy took a small bite and smiled. It had been awhile since she eaten something that delicious. "Its good." She said smiling at Connor.

"That's great! We have the same taste in food." Connor smiled and started to twirl pasta on his fork.
"So? Is it cool that you get reunited with your sister?" He asked, since he had recently found his siblings too.

Legacy nodded her mouth full. She swallowed, "Its amazing. She's the only family I have left."

"I lost Daniel, Bell, and Shira for years. It sucked. Now? Best thing that ever happened to me, was finding them. Especially because Daniel is so fun to mess with." Connor winked.
"So I know how you feel." He smiled.

Legacy was thankful that someone understood, "So...what happened to you?"

Connor sighed and put his head in his hands. He knew he'd have to tell her. But he liked her a lot, and when she knew the truth she'd either run screaming or never look at him the same again. He looked up.
"I died. That's what happened." He waited for her to run or think he was crazy.

Legacy looked at him oddly, not understanding. She studied him, he looked alive. "What do mean?" She wouldn't judge him if it was true.

"Shira showed her powers at school. The kids told their parents. A dad came and murdered me, Dad and Mom. Shira only had enough time to save Bell and Daniel. I died. Another mutant at the base, Crystal, is a necromancer. She brought me back to life. I'm alive now, but was dead when they left. They had to run away to save each other. I found them with Chance at the statue of liberty. Look, I can take you back with Chance. You don't have to stay, i get it. Dead and undead people are scary." He sighed and looked down.

Legacy felt bad for asking Connor. She reached over and held his hand. " I...I don't want to go back. I don't think your scary, your nice,funny, and cute. Your were dead." Legacy squeezed his hand, "You are alive now."

Connor couldn't believe what he was hearing. He smiled and held onto her hand.
"Really? You mean it?" He asked her.

Legacy nodded, she meant every word. "Of course I do, Connor."

Derek opened the door for Chance and she gave him back his jacket. They laughed and were still wet. Chance saw Legacy as they sat next to them. "Hey guys." She said waving. Derek ordered for them as she was saying hi.

Connor wanted to tell her he liked her a lot, but didn't want to overwhelm her on her first day here. He also needed to break up with Crystal. He hadn't liked her for a long time. With Legacy, he couldn't wait to break it off.
"Thank you, Legacy. You have no idea how much that means to me..." He smiled shyly at her.

Connor looked up.
"Hey."

"Hey Chance!" Legacy said happily.

"We were just talking about you." Connor winked.

Chance smiled. "Really." Derek waved at them.

Legacy giggled at Connor, "Ya."

Connor waved back and smiled.
Through his smile he said without moving his lips,
"Does he like you Chance?"

Chance gave a grin. "No, we used to know each other a long time ago. Legacy you remember Derek right?" Chance asked

Legacy thought for a bit, "He's the shadow boy right?"

Connor laughed. Then whistled at Derek.
"Hey! Shadow! Hurry up." He yelled.
Then he turned to the girls.
"His codename is officially shadow."

Legacy giggled at Connor.

Chance grinned. "Oh funny." He said walking over with two coffees. "Your favorite." He said handing Chance a vanilla latte. "You still remember." Chance said taking a sip

Connor smiled adoringly at Legacy. He loved her laugh and her giggle.

Legacy blushed under his gaze.

Connor turned to Chance and Derek.
He grabbed Chance's cup and took a sip.
"This is like liquid gold!" He exclaimed.
"Shadow, be a sport and get me one of these." He patted Derek's back.

Chance frowned. "You know there is such a word as please." She teased taking her cup back. Derek rolled his eyes and went to get another one

Connor groaned.
"Even when I'm not with Daniel I get yelled at for my manners or lack there of."

Legacy smiled, "I think its cute."

Chance took another sip and smiled. Derek returned with the drink. "Here, your majesty." He said with a grin

"I will repeat this: I think I love you." Connor teased Legacy again.

Connor glared mockingly at Derek.

"Bow, Peasant!" He joked.

Derek gave him the cup and played along. "I bow to no one." He said sitting. Chance chuckled at them

Legacy stole Connor's drink and toke a sip, "Sweet."

"I'm sorry to say this Shadow but...Off with your head!" Connor clapped his hands.

"Oh no!" Derek said with a grin.

Connor smiled.
"I like this. We should have a club. Just the four of us."

Legacy bounced in her seat. "Can we have more of these lattes?" She asked Connor, sipping his drink.

"Sure." Connor got up and went to the counter to order.
He came back with a tray with 8 lattes.
"This enough?" He asked.

Legacy giggled and kissed his cheek, "Thank you!"
