okay well i'm guessing he breaks in there to play the guitar, right?? does he necessarily have to break in?
like, idk if you've ever watched Gilmore Girls -- this is just an example -- but rory's friend laine rlly wants to play drums, but her mom won't let her, plus the drums are too expensive. so laine makes an agreement w/the store manager that she can come in and play the drums, w/o actually buying them, for a while every day after the store is closed and all.
and there's a similar situation in the movie "once" where one of the mc's plays the piano but she can't afford one, so the manager of a music store lets her play the piano in the store.
so maybe jonah could make some sort of deal w/the store manager that he can come in and play the guitar once in a while. could that work out instead??

Um, fire escape? I'm not sure, I'll think about it, I don't have experiance breaking into places, lol.
There should be a hole in the defense- like a glitch in the alarm system that is acesseble from the internet, or school computer. Then, he can find the guard system and whenever they change, sneak through.

Oh! That's a good idea, I didn't think of that...maybe I could do that, but I think it's cooler if he breaks in...I don't know why, but I like it that way...hmm, I'll think about it. Agh this is hard! >.<

Oh, good idea! But...don't they lock the fire escape? I dunno...
Oooh, maybe he can go in through the kitty door!! lol :D Or maybe the back door is left unlocked? OR he could pick the lock or something...

i think breaking in is a little ... i don't know ... over the top maybe?? like, it would be so complicated. and it would be hard to make it believable, since he's such a little kid and all.

yeah, good point...yeah, i've been thinking it was too unrealistic that he kept breaking in every day for nine years, without getting caught...
OMG!! I know what I'm going to do!!! He breaks in the first night, but the manager catches him, and THEN he makes a deal with the manager, and the manager allows him to come in when he wants. yay!!! :D does that sound realistic?

that's a good idea, but he's only eight. i don't think he'll be able to do all that...lol
so i think that when he breaks in, he'll go through the kitty door or something (the manager keeps a cat in the store). and then, the manager catches him, and yeah...yay :D

The manager is mad at first, but then once he hears Jonah's story, he makes a deal with Jonah that he can come in to the store whenever he wants to play the guitar, as long as he's supervised.

oh, if he broke in to the store all the time, he wouldn't actually steal the guitar, he'd just play it there. :D but i like brigid's idea, so yay! :D

I'd have him steal the key, or combination for the lock. That way, he'd be able to use it indefinitely.
Kenzie wrote: "Oh. I thought you were coming up with a way for him to steal it. *blushes* My bad."
It's okay. :D

That's a good idea, but if you look at message 11, I already figured out what to do, lol :D

Okay, I wrote the chapter! Here it is: http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/4.... It's actually quite funny - the reason the manager goes back to the store is because she forgot her cat there! lol ;D

I'm having some trouble with the next scene of my story, Life in D Minor. I need my MC, an eight-year-old boy named Jonah, to be able to break into a music store at night WITHOUT getting caught. ...And, he has to be able to break in to that store for 9 years after that, STILL without getting caught. How can he do this? Is there any way he can break into a store without setting the alarm off, and without anyone knowing he's doing it? Aggh! Please help me! >.<
