Hi, I'm Jess from New Jersey.I love crocheting, reading, yoga, dance, fitness, typography, traveling, Disney World, web design and many more...there are just too many things to list!
I just started a blog about my adventures as a polymath....it's called Confessions of a Polymath Girl. I would be honored if anyone checked it out: http://confessionsofapolymathgirl.blo...
Hello, I'm Vanessa from California. My interests include yoga, drawing (anything really), adventuring (from walking randomly to tide pooling), food (eating and cooking it), writing (creatively, journalling), and science (ALL OF IT). I'm starting college this year and am pursuing either a molecular biology major or math/chem. double major. From what I've heard, free reading is hard to do during the school year - but I'm determined to get some reading in with the help of this group!
Onward to the edge!

Hi Vanessa! It's great to meet you. Welcome to the Society. We are in the process of revamping the works and getting the group more active. Best of fortune in your educational endeavors. If there is any topic you wish to discuss or read about, let us know and we'll put it on the list.
We will have a more comprehensive introduction and guidebook in the weeks to come. So be looking forward to that.

Hi all, I'm Iona from Scotland, currently living in Germany. I've recently graduated in modern languages (French/German) and I'm planning a career in translation. My academic interests are mainly related to foreign language acquisition and linguistics, but I also like history, philosophy, cooking, travel and music.I stumbled upon your group as I seldom read non-fiction texts in my free time, but would very much like to start! I'm looking forward to reading with you all.
Hello Iona! Welcome to the Society. It is always great to have new people who are looking to learn more about the world around them in every facet as possible. I am also moderately fluent in French so there might be something we can do as a group to pass along our linguistic abilities. It sounds however as if you have a marvelous path laid out ahead of you. I hope all the best in your endeavors and look forward to learning with you.

I love science, history, myth and legend, science fiction, literature, art, movies, computer science, technology, space exploration and a whole lot more.
I've been an amateur astronomer most of my life and I've written 3D astronomy software. I've written novels and non-fiction. I've investigated the "lay of the land" in our region of the Milky Way galaxy. I've researched evidence supporting the past existence of Atlantis, enough to put thousands of "shy" scientists to shame. And I love delving into other mysteries, like evidence of Noah's Flood found in science. Such stuff blows my mind. It's how I get "high."
I love associating with people who think outside the box and who aren't afraid to challenge the status quo in thought, science and elsewhere.
