This is for discussion on the Prologue, Chapter 1, and Chapter 2. It's okay to post spoilers. Some discussion question will be posted on October 1.

So, the group read starts tomorrow but I thought I would post the discussion questions today.
1. What are your first impression?
2. What did you think of the prologue, was it enough to pull you into the book?

message 5: by Shauna (new)

Shauna (plankwalkinjack) The prologue was awesome! I didn't think it had too much to do with the first and second chapters though. I really like it and I am having a hard time putting it down!!

Barbara The prologue left me a little sad as to the fact that it implied that whomever she was going to marry is not who she wakes up with! And of course it also grabbed my attention!
Chapter one and two she is thinking of the past and looking at her husband and son, and at this point we as readers do not even know who her husband is.
I think that her guilt starts to fester as to her mother, even thou she might have deserved it it still makes her feel guilty for leaving her for so long.

Shauna (plankwalkinjack) Absolutely! But from reading through the book, do I blame the daughter for feeling that way? I am not sure I do.

message 8: by Barbara (new)

Barbara I think it was just natural to have guilt feelings and reflect.

Sheena Lumsden I loved the prologue it drew me in wondering what would happen next and who Isa was with and what would happen at the wedding or I even wondered if the wedding would go ahead.

With chapter 1 I loved how when Isa was looking at her husband and son she was remembering her life but had so much love in her while looking at her family and the love she had for her family, like Barbara said we did not know at he time who she was married to.

The guilt she had for her mother had me wondering what had transpired before which we don't get to know until a later in the book but I felt these chapters set you up for that

Christine Brae | 7 comments I love this discussion. Thank you so much Barb and Shauna, Gia and Rosey. It was difficult for me to put so much history in only a few chapters but I felt that it had to be there for you to understand Isabel's actions throughout the book.

Emma L | 3 comments I loved the prologue ! But It also made me think she had slept with Jesse before marrying Alex . And a part of me thought that of she had done it , she would have been either super confuse or would have healed faster . But I think the confuse part makes more sense lol
