No love interest in this book. Is it going to be a series? If so, who do you think will interest Maura?
I read three of the first 4 Lexy Baker books. They were alright and got better with each book. Also read another of the Loon Lake books, Dead Insider, and loved it. I got it as an Amazon freebie. They really are not cozy because the people are official but it has many of the characteristics and the temporary coroner is a retired dentist. He is the main character and his girlfriend it the chief of police.
Mama wrote: "No love interest in this book. Is it going to be a series? If so, who do you think will interest Maura?"I'm not sure who will interest Maura. I really felt that this book was about Maura figureing out what she wants out of life and getting some sort of direction for herself. Also the geneology part of the story really intersted me. She seems to have alot just in that to figure out considering here Gram didn't every tell her much.
The geology was also a bit confusing too. Every one is a cousin it seems...lolBut if it's a series, it's a good start. Good stand alone too.
I found out in another group that I'm in. . . .Scandal in Skibbereen comes put February 2014. So I guess we will get to read where it goes from here!!!! HAPPY READING!!!!
Finished "And Then There Were None" by Agatha Christie. Very good read.I didn't figure it out until the explanation.
I finished listening to Crooked House by Agatha Christie and finished reading Finger Lickin' Dead by Riley Adams on my kindle.
Book 2, Lethal Bayou Beauty
Swamp Sniper
Another good one. #3 in the (Miss Fortune Series!)
Really enjoyed this series so far!!!
I finished Ghost a la Modeby Sue Ann Jaffarian. It's a terrific book with great twists. Now I have to catch up on the other two books in the series.
Shakespeares Landlord. Charlaine Harris.
I just finished book #1 in a new series by Heather Blake aka Heather Webber. A Magic Potion Mystery series,
"A Potion to Die For". Romance, adventure, humor, near death experiences and did I mention humor. If you haven't read any of her books yet pick this one up today, you won't regret it! It is Magictastic! :) 5 out of 5 stars!

Now I need to look into that one.
I just looked. It's already on my TBR shelf!
Finished Takedown Twenty-Janet Evanovich. Done with this series. It has become boring, and repetitive. No longer funny like previous versions. And I'm sick of the love triangle! I gave it 1 star. The series used to be my all time favorite not anymore.
Finished rereading Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death. It was the first and probably my favorite Agatha Raisin book. I've read all of her AR books and Hamish MacBeth books.Susan Bernhardt
Hi, I just joined after befriending Candace. And, I just finished The Beautiful Mystery, another great mystery by Louise Penny. Though the setting of the remote monastery was interesting, I must admit that I prefer her imaginary town of Three Pines.
I just finished A Long Quiche Goodbye by Avery Ames. I enjoyed it. Only complaint is there are a lot of characters, and at times was difficult to follow them all. I will read the next book in the series.
I did like it. She is a new author for me. I had not read her or her alter ego Cleo Coyle before I checked this one out of the library. I will be checking the others in the series out to read as soon as this brutal weather lets up and I can get to the library.

Lowcountry Boil (Liz Talbot Mystery, #1) by Susan M. Boyer and also finished Dead in the Water (Amanda Hazard Mystery, #1) by Connie Feddersen
