Hey Jeff!
I am from India (Mumbai) and to have cybersp@ce in paperback I would have to wait 15 days to have International delivery.. Rather I am looking out for ebook copy.. :) again it will have to wait as my credit card is under review for credit points something... *sigh*... But will join soon... :)

In any case Jeff, apart from the blurb available on goodreads what else can you tell us about your book ... (in 2/3 sentences.. :)

Cybersp@ce is the first of the Cybersp@ce Trilogy, which becomes more and more Science-Fiction as each book progresses. The first book, Cybersp@ce, is set in the near future, when a rising tide of cyber attacks take suddenly take a nasty turn when they begin targeting the infrastructure of the United States in an attempt to pit the United States against China in a nuclear war.
Frontiers, the next in the series,is based on discoveries made during Cybersp@ce, and centers around humanity's first interstellar flight to Alpha Centauri.
New Beginnings follows Nicole Reynolds, the woman tasked with establishing Earth's first human colony in another star system, while living with the results of agonizing decisions from her past.
Hope this helps!
Jeff

I was thinking about posting some questions about Cybersp@ce to this discussion, and then giving something away to the winners.
Do you think it would draw more readers into this monthly read if I offered to give away free eBooks of my other novels (reader's choice)? I was thinking about giving one book to each to the first five winners. One caveat though, I only have The Great Collapse in PDF.
I suppose I could also offer a free eBook copy of the next book in the trilogy, Frontiers, once it comes out. Frontiers is finished, I just haven't submitted it to my publisher yet.
If we get enough folks participating in the read, I might offer to send a signed copy (reader's choice) to the one who answers the most questions correctly.
It's just a thought. Please let me know if you think others would be interested.
Thanks, and happy reading!
Jeff
Today we see massive cyber attacks happening all over the places, from government to large MNCs all face the constant fear of losing private and confidential data. Data which in the least it hampers one's private life and on extremes could threaten nation's security..
Cybersp@ce is built on this very solid and realistic foundation. Being a reader half of my life, I always look forward to reading something engaging and could-happen-tomorrow-kinda-true and after reading first few chapters I can feel the story opening up and pulling me in on an adventure.. :) (or so to speak..)
what's your take..?

I am most excited to see what kind of questions you put forth but let's wait for few more readers to join in :)

Welcome to to the read and thanks for joining.
I'll be checking in from time to time during the month, and I'm following this discussion. Please let me know if you have any questions.
I plan to start asking a series of questions, probably starting next weekend, and will give away a free eBook copy of one of my other novels to the first reader to get the right answer, so be sure to keep an eye out for those!
Happy Reading!

Sorry I've been away a bit. Jeff, great to see you in here and I look forward to the discussion for this title. It's definitely going to have some interesting conversations going. I think a lot of what happens in this book and a few of your other titles, we all have a fear of. Especially the loss of all the technology we have all become comfortable and addicted to, and I am no different. I don't think there are many people that are prepared for these events if they happen.
Well, before I give too much of the book away, I am gonna wrap this up with, Happy reading and I'll talk to you all later :o)

So I was thinking, if we can get fifteen people participating in the discussion for Cybersp@ce I'll send someone a free, signed, paper copy of one of my books. If we can get twenty-five, I'll offer two, reader's choice. I'm not really sure how active the group discussions normally are, but hopefully that works for everyone.
Regardless, I'll be offering eBooks soon to folks who answer the questions correctly. I believe Steven will be sending out the questions soon.
In the meantime, if anyone has anything they'd like to discuss, just speak up!
Best,
JWH

@Steven, I am enjoying my read.. :D
Although I am not getting much time out of my < currently busy :p > schedule... I think book is a good read, specially at core idea of things and the way they are moving...
But I am also not much fan of Jeff, for putting up country biased writing.. It might be true at some level but in my opinion it's not the way to write about an actual entity...
and also at times I could make out the lapses into the writing.. like two paras on single page have so much contextual differences it's hard to deny the changed perspective of author because of so I guess some editorial work would have done much better in this regards...
and @april, I think it's good to have some higher perspective sometimes in reading because we are so much dominated with raw human nature based writings that we forget that tinge of divine < / fate?>

I feel I can state my opinion more frankly in a discussion thread than I normally do (I usually save utter frankness for my book review) since we were tricked into trying this book with all of the "cyber tech" exaggerations used to draw readers into reading the book. I'm very happy Amazon let me borrow the book for my Kindle as I would not be simply annoyed if I had actually bought this. However, I did wait for some days to express myself more fully on this discussion thread. I do not want to convince anyone of anything. This is strictly my opinion and I recognize everyone has a right to their beliefs. My annoyance is because I had no idea this was Christian literature, and I can find nowhere in this discussion that this was labeled such. It wasn't until I googled the author I saw he is a Christian writer of Christian books. I do feel I was tricked.
:)
a reviewer at heart is always truthful to his writing.. and so are you with yours aPril.. :) well, that being said I am somewhere in the middle of the book and so far the religion hasn't snicked up on me yet..
If it's any consolation, I am not christian < even by longest shot.. > but I keep my bookie life to be weirder which includes but not limited to religion, espionage, sci-fi, fiction, some romance, poetry etc... :)
I am not an atheist, but I don't call myself believer either.. I just seek answers.. :)
And I do agree with you on the part that depth is sorely missing in the context may be little more homework on part of jeff would have paid off for the story...

Well we all are here to learn something new and share it with everyone... And like Steven and aPril I also believe that everyone has his own side of story to tell... And we as readers get chance to witness this..

I leave the determination of the merits and the quality of the storytelling for the readers to decide.
