Two Rooks is a crime noir story set in a plague ridden, dystopian future. It’s intended for mature readers due to violence, language and bad people doing bad things.

As far as opening lines go that's a very intriguing one.

Read the prologue and was drawn right into the first chapter. The setting is an interesting one, with some nice potential twists on usual dystopian themes. Deatoura is a very compelling lead. Looking forward to seeing how things play out.

Here are a few discussion questions for everyone to think about (Please remember to use spoiler tags as appropriate to your answer, even if the question didn't contain spoilers. Thanks!):

1) What do you think of the setting? Does the background political conflict and dystopian setting interest you?

2) What do you think of Deatoura? Good point of view character?

3) How do you like the art? Do you prefer the full black and white of the prologue of the touch of color style of the main strip?

Three chapters in. Really enjoying this. Nice unfolding intrigue based plot and great (if occasionally cheesy) dialog.

1) Very interesting. Wish we had more details as some things have been a bit hard to follow, but all in all the small pieces of information about how things are in this world are coming together nicely.

2) Not entirely likable per se, but that's perfect for a noir lead and he's charming and compelling. There's a second character that's gotten a fair bit of central "screen time," who is just as interesting.

3) I love it. Highly stylized and won't be to everyone's tastes but I enjoy it's uniqueness. The pure black and white base of the style and the high contrast it provides are used very effectively and touches of color are fantastic.

Finished chapter 7. Lots of interwoven plots and plans and the lead characters are really interesting. Overall I'm loving it and really curious to see where it goes.

Note: this is a crime comic and so there is violence, etc, but after reading 270+ pages I'd personally say it's NOT nsfw.
