I just updated again after finishing The Civil War: Red River to Appomattox, Vol. 3 by Shelby Foote.



Someone may want to double check me though to verify page count, as this was an audio book. The paperback version is 1,120 pages.

I can tell you that the audio was 49 hours.

Awesome --- that might be another CC worth 5 points.

They actually do by word count -- if they can't find it, then they do page count.

Yeah, I knew they went by word count.

If it doesn't qualify for Cut Throat, maybe it would as a Triple Threat?

Do you know they site they use to verify word count?

They use various sites including WorldCat and AR Finder.

I already checked. The Civil War, Vol. 3: Red River to Appomattox, by Shelby Foote, counts as a Cutthroat.

Hello everyone ---
Please keep reading and posting progress until the last minute of read-a-thon, even if you made your goal.

The competition is really based on the team who read the most pages divided by the total books goal of the participants (which equalizes everything --- math is really cool).

Right now, I think that we are in the 3rd place....

I updated my post with final numbers. I'm currently halfway through book #18 but will finish it tonight.

I just updated again.

I am currently on chapter 20 of The Count of Monte Cristo. The audio book is 46 hours/56 minutes long.

I'm having a really hard time with the conversion though, so can someone help me with that?

Thanks, ETO. I think I'm about 10 hours in. The problem is, the parts are not listed as tracks - showing the time for each track. They are broken down by chapter. So what happens is you may see a time of 1 hr 10 minutes but that may cover several chapters. So if I don't pay attention to when each track starts/stops, I have no idea how many hours I listened to.

Oh my. I've a long way to go then.

I don't know if partially read books count but I am also reading these two.
