I hated Kartrina, she was a piranha and out to get at Isa any way she could, she wee minded me of those stuck up kids at school that got away with anything they wanted.

As soon as James started to avoid Isa I knew that Jesse had got to him with Jesse being so insecure and jealous you just knew something had happened but when I read what had been done to him I felt sorry for James but angry that this had been done to him, I mean was Isa not allowed to speak to any male, would this happen if she spoke to another guy in her class, how many more times would Jesse do this or has done this in the past.

I think it was right to split up when they did, Isa was finally at a place where she could stand on her own feet and enough was enough with the insecurities and jealousy and I think she knew herself it was time, especially after Katrina and knowing that Jesse really had no interest in compromising anything for. Isla's career.

Isa was ready to move on and start to think about her life, career and family and want more out of life and to do that she had to give up everything that was pulling her back.

Oh I also loved the Walmart scene, it showed Isa that Alex can be down to earth and like most people, material things were not that important to him and they had fun which was the main thing and Isa knew she could trust Alex and have fun and she was happy

When Katrina entered the picture, I knew right there that this bit*h is on to something. Never liked her.

They broke up because of Jesse's priorities and ambitions that Isa felt taken for granted and been left out. But I can't blame her for taking Jesse back after 3 mos. coz I will do the same thing, they've been together for so long, Jesse was her Air to breathe.

I loved the walmart scene! This shows that rich people can be grounded too. And I loved Alex for loving Isa just the way she is, wearing branded clothes or not. Her life is so much easier with Alex, no heaviness, drama and all. <3 <3 <3 Go TeamAlex!

Well, I'm not surprised that Jesse's disciples were behind James' MIA in Isa's life. Nobody messes and flirts with the University's Mr. Popular and SC President's girl.

The WalMart scene was fantastic! I think this book is interesting in that it touches upon the rich vs. poor kind of attitude about it, without it being the main purpose of the book.

Katrina needs to fall down a hill. I was like, grr, the whole time I was reading this. Of course she wanted the "perfect college experience" with wanting to have Jesse to herself. It brings me right back to high school, with the popular kids and the not popular kids. I felt like Jesse is just stuck up enough to think that he could handle having Katrina on the side without Isa knowing. I don't know if that was his purpose, but I could feel the pain Isa has with being worried about Katrina's intentions.

This was the beginning of a big turn in the story!! I will have to wait till I get home to comment more. Been busy busy day!!
Yes he did but just like always he was being a good friend to her still at this point I think!
That was when she took the phone call when she was trying to listen to Katrina and her friend because Isa was not paying attention to Alex on the phone.
She visited her Mom and Gracie and Alex stopped to visit….ummmm When she returned from her visit to her Mom she is being herself again.
She discovers that Katrina will be his running mate! She overhears the awful conversation that Katrina had with her friend! Alex was waiting for her at home and confirmed that Jesse had been seen with Katina and that they looked familiar with each other. Then came the conversation and Jesse calling Isa a name and then the dreaded breakup!! And Bernard noticing that she was never happy and laughed anymore how sad was that?? Alex calls but she does not respond to the call….sad…!!
Yes she is heartbroken as we end Chapter 16
Like I mentioned to Alisha both of these chapters are a really big turning point to the story. Once words are out there they are out there, after Jesse called her the name hard to rally forget that.
Alex is very attentive during C17 and she finds out about what rally happen to James! Alex takes her to Walmart love this part!! She takes Jesse back and Alex drives away and leaves her standing in the driveway after finding out she took Jesse back very heartbreaking! Betty tells her that Alex is mad at her because he thinks Jesse will hurt her again and again!!
I totally get it Jesse was familiar to Isa he knew most everything about her!!
