Otis Chandler Quote
Geez, it would take some super ninja skills though and am now wondering if it would even be possible...
http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...I'm still not sure that it meets the guidelines (which I did find on the quotes page) so someone might remove it again, but I liked it.
Interesting. As of 24 minutes ago, "This thread has been frozen by the moderator. No new comments can be added."

I'm always overly optimisitc. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that getting to 500 would be impossible. Too many opportunities for sabotage.
Even if we covertly tagged it, we'd still credit Otis Chandler which would make easily searchable.

I love Aunt Jane. She has such a way of putting priorities in perspective.

What about posting it on the GR feedback thread along with your request?

I'm sorta wary of drawing attention to it over there where there are nay-sayers...
I just spammed my friends. Sorry, but it was for a good cause ;)

I should have been born in the 60s. I'm very good at making a nuisance of myself :-D
Susanna - Censored by GoodReads wrote: "83..."I'm showing 82...there's either a bug in the count or people 'unlike' after liking...this happened earlier today as well.
So, of course, I'm all suspicous...who's unliking? Was someone's 'like' flagged and eliminated by GR?
If this whole thing wasn't so sad and disturbing, I'd find it wildly entertaining.
Oop, it's up to 84 now. Phew.
I accidentally unliked after liking. I thought I could like more than once - no such luck :-(

Well, there's always Plan B - a hostile takeover :P

Liked the quote (as did 9 of my friends, so far.) I do like it. I did like it. Sad that my online home since May 2007 is quickly dying. I knew it would as soon as the Amazon buyout announcement was made, but the callousness of all that's (not) going on, has me stunned.

Had pulled my reviews and replaced them with links to my own website (where I'd posted them first, anyway) immediately when the purchase announcement was made in April, and also signed up with BookLikes already back then just in case, but what we've seen in the last 2 weeks really just makes me sick. After all the volunteer work we all contributed to make this site the great thing it had become until last year ... what a way to spit us all in the face and show us your/their disrespect.
Keep the votes coming. BTW, I clicked off to see all of Otis' comment history. Interesting reading. https://www.goodreads.com/group/1-goo...How some things have changed :/

Yes, it was great. I feel really old but I keep thinking of it as the good old days. Now, knowing what's happened now, even back then has a sour feel. *sigh* Huge changes!!! 180 degrees in more ways than one.
