The lights went out for 36 hours Thursday to Friday. It's been a bad year for outages but we do live at the end of the line. So Kid 2 and I went to the city a few days earlier than planned. The biggest issue is water... and I have lots including toilet water pails in the basement. As for a generator... 28yrs later and I still only get excuses — Apr 19, 2026 05:11AM
