Although Ashley is living the life she's always wanted, is it possible she feels like something's missing?
Brandon wrote: "How did Ashley's maturity improve throughout the story?"She went from blurting out and hurting other things such as when Ashley was at the beach with the mosses and Luke. what happened at the beach was "A swell of anger rose from black, dark space inside me. Luke was the problem all along! If it had not been for him I would be with my mother already! I clenched his arms tightly and shook him." This shows her immaturity then. Now she is able to not blurt out at the orphanage camp.
How do you think the courters feel about Ashley now that she has tryed to drug them and she scared them on the subway in Washington D.C.
Matulat wrote: "This is where you should post your open ended questions!"She definitely becoming more mature and is no longer being overly difficult about what she eats and many other things
Zac wrote: "after ashley saw her mother why did she say i have no intrest in ever seeing her again"I think she realizes her mother is a bad person and Ashley is beyond being bad and learned from her mistakes so she let go of her mother because she has a new family that loves her and gives her a good influence. And she letting go of her past and can't bare to see her mother because it gav her a lot of stress and she can't go through that again.
What does Ashley think of her mother now that's she's grown up and experienced what a real family is like?
Brandon wrote: "What is Ashley's view of her past is she proud of it?"I'm guessing my Phil's reaction, not very well. But honestly who wouldn't? What if you had taken in a child who was being extremely ungrateful and picky, then attempts to drug you and almost gets lost in the subway. So yeah, they must've logically, very upset if not angry
Zac wrote: "after ashley saw her mother why did she say i have no intrest in ever seeing her again"I believe she said this because her mother is now pregnant. That hurt Ashley because Ashley always thought she will be her special girl, but now a new baby is coming. This is bad to because her mom gave up on Ashley and didn't try her hardest to get Ashley and Luke out of foster care and into her possession. Which makes her think that the baby's going to suffer just like her. Also Ashley has always waited to see her but she is never there and then her mom just randomly shows up and then vanishes again.
Brandon wrote: "Although Ashley is living the life she's always wanted, is it possible she feels like something's missing?"I think Ashley's missing Luke and her mother, she misses her own life. I do think that as much as she misses her mother, she thinks she's a bad influence. I feel like Ashley is missing her original family.
Brandon wrote: "How did Ashley's maturity improve throughout the story?"i think that she became more mature throughout the story, and a quote showing this is that ashley says"I have no intrest in ever seeing her again." This shows that she has matured because she finally has accepted that her mother is not a good influence, and she has moved on. When she was younger she always wanted to see her mother, but now she has matured so she dosn't want to see her. A question i have is what experiences have made her more mature.
Emma wrote: "I'm kinda wondering how Ashley would cope if she met her mother again?"Ashley would feel sad because her mother gave her so much trouble and sadness when she was younger and now feeling like her mother gave up on her. But still Ashley proboly will be mature about it because you can see she's moved on.
Brandon wrote: "What does Ashley think of her mother now that's she's grown up and experienced what a real family is like?"Ashley thinks her mother is a bad influence for her and Luke. I think Ashley is hurt that her mother had another baby. She realizes her mother didn't really love her and lied. Her mother kept saying she's doing better and that the whole family is going to live together again but Ashley believes its never going to happen.
