This challenge should get me to explore some new authors. I am trying to plan out my month so I stay on track. My goal is 8 books.
First up: Ghost Shadow. I'll update my list as I find more that work with the challenge. I'm thinking maybe some Dresden Files, some Harry Potter?
Update: Ghost Shadow was not my cup of tea. I must not be a paranormal romance reader. The dialogue was painful, the characters and plot were both ridiculous, and the run-on sentences killed me. On the bright side, I did enjoy reading about Key West's history and it made me want to visit, so good job, author. Well, on to the next! I think I'll dig into Coraline and then move on to Storm Front.
Book 2: Coraline. I liked it. Scary, and silly, and a fast read.

Finished book 3: Storm Front, book 1 of the Dresden Files series. I am starting book 2, Fool Moon today.
I'm on a roll! Books 4, 5, and 6 done.
4) Fool Moon
5) The Gold-Bug and Other Tales
6) The Yellow Wallpaper and Other Stories
Maybe I should up my goal to 10?

Currently reading Stephen King's "Doctor Sleep" and I'm about halfway through. Anybody else tackling it? So far it's the best of his books that I've read from after his 2000 accident. Loving the way he handled Dan Torrance's characterization.
I have it on my "to read" list, but I haven't picked it up yet. I'm definitely planning on reading it though.
Ok, work slowed me down quite a bit, but I have finished books 7 & 8. I am going to try for 10 this month before I start the Thanksgiving challenge.
7) Grave Peril
8) Summer Knight
Stepping off of my Dresden Files kick to read The Graveyard Book right now.

Finished The Graveyard Book. I really liked it! The only Gaiman I had read before this reading challenge was The Ocean at the End of the Lane. I'm definitely going to check out his other books now.
I'm off to choose my last read for the challenge.
