Books Stephen King Recommends discussion

Our current group read of Dark Places is going really well. It not too late to join in, so get your book and join the discussion.

We are taking the first 10 nominations for the Nov-Dec 2013 group read.

Please don't include Stephen King's own books, books in the middle of a series, really long books, and books that will be difficult to obtain.

How about NOS4A2 by Joe Hill?

I know we just read a Gillian Flynn novel, but I have to nominate this book because I'm dying to read it!!!



Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

I've not been in the group very long so I hope it's ok to nominate a book this early on. I would like to nominate Seed. I purchased it off the back of seeing it on the Stephen King Recommends bookshelf!

Seed sounds like a really good book I'm up for it.

I don't have this one on my bookshelf, yet. Is there a Stephen King blurb on the book? I read this one and loved it and would love to add it to my sai-king-recommends bookshelf.

I picked Heart-Shaped Box by Joe Hill

I'm going to nominate The Killer Inside Me by Jim Thompson. Not only is this book recommended by Stephen King, it is also recommended by Jo Nesbo, another of my favorite authors.

I own Pronto, Coraline, Double Feature, and Gone Girl and have not read them yet. Good choices so far.

I speak for " the descent" by Jeff long. Lets streatch our brains a little. Also "the passage " is a masterpiece.

Lillth, I'm sorry, but we've already accepted all nominations for the upcoming group read, and have voted on them.

A have read both The Descent and The Passage and enjoyed them, immensely. Please save your nomination for when we start taking them again in December.
