Cathy | 11 comments Hey, was just wondering what you thought about the majority of heroines in YA fantasy/paranormal...is the shy/quiet thing overdone and is it time to get new heroines who talk too much and put their foot in their mouth?

examples of heroines who are shy (some of who i love btw)

-Tessa (TID)
-Bella
-Katniss
-Tris
-Nora Grey....ect ect

What do you think? do we need more open heroines? Or is their seriousness what makes the story so appealing??
Wud love to hear your thoughts...

Cathy | 11 comments tris is shy in that she is not very outspoken and is nervous around guys - an important part of her character which I thought was done well, however I would still call her shy in a way
just my opinion though
