My name is Claire and I don't remember how I got introduced to Sarah's writing, but once I started I simply had to seek out all her books and buy them. She is awesome and can't wait to read the latest one coming out.

Where do I start??? I started with Garden Spells and the love affair with SAA's books was instantaneous. Needless to say, my reading world has never been the same. SAA's are the only books I buy right when they are released. They usually sit on my book shelf for a few months before I read them. This is only to prevent the inevitable...that the stories will end. I am left with the same bittersweet feeling that has followed each read. Sweet (usually because of the sensory overload of sweet confections that have danced among the pages) and bitter because it was all over TOO soon.
SAA's books are literary perfection. She sweeps me away with every southern tradition and leaves me rooting for every female protagonist. What I love about her writing is the amount of thought she puts into every supporting character. To this day, Evelyn from Garden Spells is amongst my favorite characters of all time. Sugar Queen will always be my favorite, whether it be the smell of peppermint and grilled cheese sandwiches it envokes when reading or the story of 2 young women finding themselves for the first time.
I cannot say enough about SAA. She is my all time favorite and cannot wait for Lost Lake.

One of my favorite quotes:
"Books can be possessive, can't they? You're walking around in a bookstore and a certain one will jump out at you, like it had moved there on its own, just to get your attention. Sometimes what's inside will change your life, but sometimes you don't even have to read it. Sometimes it's a comfort just to have a book around." from The Sugar Queen

I, too, love the quote shared by Sarah (above) ... and that was exactly what made me read my first SAA book ... it just about jumped off the shelf at Target into my hands.

I stumbled upon The Girl Who Chased the Moon in a small bookstore in the town of Hanapepe, Kauai. I was there on vacation, and was intrigued by the quaint bookstore. After seeing the book on the shelf, I knew I had to get it. After reading the book along the beach and on my flight home, I was hooked. I immediately bought copies of all her other books. Her stories are pure magic that whisk me away each time I read them. I can truly say that she is my favorite author. I am looking forward to the release of Lost Lake!

I truly enjoy her books, from the stories to the beautiful book jackets, and am so very excited about Lost Lakes!

Someone recommened Sarah's books in my local bookstore as something they thought I would absolutely love. I read the first book and went back the next week and bought all of her novels. I have purchased everyone since!!!!

Can't wait for Lost Lake!!

I haven't read any of her work yet. Some of my friends entered the giveaway, and Lost Lake looks like something I would actually enjoy. Therefore, here I am.
Never mind, found it.

I received Garden Spells as an ARC while working for a now-defunct Borders in Athens, GA. I immediately loved the regional shout-out and the natural ability to relate to the complex characters. I continue to read and love Sarah's books because of her ability to write strong female characters dealing with difficult situations without falling into any negative "chick lit" stereotypes. And who doesn't need a little everyday magic?!

I LOVE her books; the just slightly unreal reality that she weaves.

i have read 3 books by her and they were all really good. a friend of mine suggested her. I m so glad she did! Garden spells was my first read by her

Garden Spells was also my first Sarah Addison Allen read, and I anxiously await each new book.Garden Spells really grabbed me because I love to garden, I'm fascinated with old "remedies," and I love to read about characters with special senses or "powers," I really can't wait to read "Lost Lake."

Amber, I had a difficult time finding it also. ;0)
