Suley, Georgia, is home to Lost Lake Cottages and not much else. Which is why it's the perfect place for newly-widowed Kate and her eccentric eight-year-old daughter Devin to heal. Kate spent one memorable childhood summer at Lost Lake, had her first almost-kiss at Lost Lake, and met a boy named Wes at Lost Lake. It was a place for dreaming. But Kate doesn't believe in dreams anymore, and her Aunt Eby, Lost Lake's owner, wants to sell the place and move on. Lost Lake's magic is gone. As Kate discovers that time has a way of standing still at Lost Lake can she bring the cottages—and her heart—back to life? Because sometimes the things you love have a funny way of turning up again. And sometimes you never even know they were lost . . . until they are found.

Genny I can't wait to read it!!

Tessa Sounds like it will be another great heartfelt story full of engaging characters and just a bit of magic. I can't wait!

Shannon | 2 comments This sounds like me now, and my first vacation experience of Georgia, feeding squirrel peanuts by hand with a cute boy my age.

Magpie67 | 4 comments Lake, cabin.... I'm hooked! I missed not being able to head to Minnesota for our family cabin/lake vacation this past summer. So tranquil and charming.

Diane Landy | 8 comments Looking forward to the premise of this book as I am presently looking for the "magic" to return to my own life as my husband and I renovate my childhood home. My siblings would have been quite happy to sell the old place just as Aunt Eby. Can't wait to see how Sarah magically weaves her way through this story! Maybe it will work a little magic in my own, too?

Sara Faughn | 2 comments Ahhhhh!!! These 11 pages are torture!!! It's like smelling the best chocolate cake (EVER) cook for an hour and not get to eat it!!! I'm so excited for this book!! I'm going to have to go read Sugar Queen to hold me over...

message 12: by Jim (new) - rated it 5 stars

Jim | 1 comments It appears there is unanimous agreement; "Lost Lake" is a huge hit and that's after only 11 pages. (I'm refraining from reading them, like some others are. We'll see how long that lasts.) So...Sarah...you have another success on your hands! Take a couple of days and enjoy it. Then, it's time to get back to work! We need more and the sooner the better. :-)

Debbie | 2 comments I have read and own all of her previous books and love them all! Sarah Addison Allen is at the top of my favorite author list. I have been waiting impatiently for Lost Lake to be written and now can't wait to read it!

Jessica Allen can always be counted on to bring the magic. Thick and encompassing. I love these books!

This is why I never read a preview of a book!
It is too painful to read the teaser and then have to wait for months.

Margaret Primos | 1 comments I want more! I'm trying to be patient.

Jennise | 3 comments I never do well with spoilers and teasers. Lost Lake will be a delightful package worth consuming in one sitting! What month is it now?? Can I actually wait four months??

Donna Harris (donnasquaw) | 9 comments I can't wait to read Sarah's book "Lost Lake"! It really sounds good. I really hope to win a copy because I'm disabled with little income and it's hard to buy books that I really want to read. I'm going to try hard to buy this one.
