The Rock Star was my first published book. It took me quite a few years to get done, mostly because I kept making rambling stabs at it without an outline and that left me going off on wild tangents. in fact one tangent had me run off and do 110,000 words in just the first chapter, which was just a little too much background on a single character. But then I figured out an outline helps me focus things and after that I found I could really get things done. I originally published it through Smashwords and Amazon, but I found after a few months that Amazon was where I got all of my sales, so I cancelled the books at Smashwords and went exclusively at Amazon and have been happy ever since. The Rock Star is the first of three books in The Rock Series which include THe Rock Star, The Singer, and The Stage and like the names suggest they do have something to do with music, but don't let that fool you, they're hard core Thrillers, with graphic language and violent descriptions, so they are not for the faint of heart.

Here is the published description:

"While sitting on a beach in Carmel, California, watching the moon shimmer in long steaks across the ocean, an ordinary man, named Jake Martin, is thrust into the extraordinary circumstance of saving the rock star Jimi Christian from drowning after a car accident This throws him into a world of secrets, mysterious Twins, and music that is beyond anything he ever imagined.

At another Carmel Beach location, a few miles from where Jake saves Jimi, two young lovers stumble across a burning body on an altar that causes local Sheriff Ken Dalton to call in star FBI Agent Jon Stevens, who himself is still reeling from the physical and mental trauma of his last case.

Meanwhile, a group of Russian “businessmen” are pushed into a series of “problems” they would rather avoid, but are fully trained and equipped to handle. At the same time they look to grow their ranks with a new member who is both beautiful and deadly.

In Seattle, the vigilante Gabriel starts taking out his brand of bloody justice on NBA star T.J. Jones in his home, after which he calls FBI Agent Max Harris to begin their cross country game of cat and mouse.

These stories, while seemingly unrelated will weave their way through a web of interconnections, explosive interactions, and shocking turns that start in The Rock Star, blast into The Singer, and finally erupt in The Stage, taking a universe of characters down one by one, leaving you wondering, “Who will make it to the end?”

You can look it up here at Goodreads and it's gotten quite a few good reviews that I'm really happy with, so I hope you take the opportunity to check it out.
Thanks
Rick
