Anybody reading this? It's the follow up to John Byrne's Trio mini and has a nice original X-men vibe to it.
If you, like me, are old school and long for the days when the X-men wore matching outfits, were light on angst and actually fought bad guys rather than each other, you might to give this a try. Plus, it's John Byrne, so really nice art.
Trio was also very good, but was more Fantastic Four than X-men.
Issue two is out and contains more plot and action than most comics fit into a six issue story arc and the last page has Byrne channeling his inner Kirby beautifully.
Really hope these minis are making enough money that Byrne could do an ongoing. Great stuff.
