Lords of Discipline, by Pat Conroy The Lords of Discipline
I first read this book when I was in the ninth grade and it remains one of my favorites to this day. In this work of realistic fiction, Pat Conroy tells the story of four young cadets at a military school based on the real life Citadel. The story follows the bonds between these friends and roommates as they uncover the violent atrocities that are committed by senior students in the name of hazing. The book is a truly riveting account of our main character's commitment to do what is right even though it goes against the unwritten rules of the school society.
The Sparrow, by Mary Doria Russell
In this modern masterpiece of science fiction, our author tells the story of a Jesuit mission to discover life on a newly discovered planet. Told through a series of flashback, the novel deals with concepts ranging from the search for extraterrestrial life to questioning beliefs in a divine presence. The use of flashbacks creates a tremendous feeling of suspense as we constantly try to figure out what event(s) could have possibly transformed our protagonist from the optimistic, open hearted man of his youth to the jaded, deformed misanthrope who slowly revels the details of the story.

"It happened to Nancy" is a biography, 3rd person memoir. The book is a diary of a girl named Nancy who fell in love with a guy she met at a concert. He lies about his identity to her but she finds that out later on. Not only that, but before that, when she has the house to herself she invites him over and things go out of control when he comes over. He rapes her, then leaves and after that she never heard from him again. She starts to get really sick until one day after going to the doctors she finds out that she has Aids. Nancy had finally told her mom what had happened and then they put fliers everywhere of this guy.
Go Ask Alice the genre is Anonymous. Talks about a girl that does drugs and is struggling to get out of it.
Hi guys, I have read the book "The protectors" it's about this family that lines in a funeral home so bad stuff starts to get crazy as soon his mom dies. So bad things start happening and his step dad gets weirder.
Go Ask Alice by AnonymousI read this book when I was in 8th grade. I like the fact that it is very descriptive. We get to see what Alice goes through. Even better, it's written from her point of view. Just like several teenagers now a days, she deals with drug abuse, drinking, and underaged sex, at a very young age. She finds herself running from home, and with no help. Only way she expresses herself instead of with others, is through her diary.
Boyfriend Anatomy by Daria Shadowsky
I recently read this book, about a week ago. All throughout it was interesting. What's different from Go Ask Alice are the characters. The protagonist in this novel is innocent, and a very good student. She never got into drugs, and waited until she reached the appropriate age to have sex. She was very alert with what she put into her body, and how she treated others. I liked this book because it was interesting seeing her experience with her first boyfriend after everyone around her had already had theirs. She was a "rookie" to the whole experience.
Memoirs of a geisha by Arthur Golden .she talk's about her memories of being a geisha. Which was of glamour. Love triangle. Misfortune and happiness . Elijah of buxston by Christopher . It about a boy who lives in Canada. And gets his first taste of salvery in America . He saves people. Try's to get back to Canada safely.

In this work of cultural fantasy, Eon has been studying the ancient art of Dragon Magic for four years, hoping he’ll be able to apprentice to one of the twelve energy dragons of good fortune.
