Dan (TheGreatBeast) So for these nominations we will start from 1911-1920. For the 20's there lots of interesting books. Right now I have nothing for this decade, other than what was suggested in our last nomination thread. I will do some research and add some. Any suggestions are useful. You can nominate a book and vote. You don't need to vote for your nomination, but if you do not please let it be known what you want to vote for.

A Princess of Mars
The Lost World
The Night Land

Jim (jimmaclachlan) | 4367 comments This is tough. I found a few on a Wikipedia list here:

The Sleeper Awakes by H.G. Wells is one I haven't read, but we've read several Wells novels now.

I'm all for A Princess of Mars, but it's hard to read just it. The next 2 books, The Gods of Mars, & The Warlord of Mars complete the story arc & they're short. Otherwise, they end on dreadful cliffhangers. All were published in the correct decade, too.

Jeff Parker (jparker1732) | 9 comments While The Night Land sounds interesting (I have even downloaded it to read) I have to go with We as my pick for this month. Mostly because I just finished London's The Iron Heel (thanks to November's nominations) and need to get some balance to my dystopia's. :)

Dan (TheGreatBeast) Jeff, We was published in 1924, it will most definitely be on the next poll (and hopefully win, I really want to read it too).

I am definitely down for The Night Land. I read The House on the Borderland last year and loved it.

I thought I had saw that it was published in 1920 but I see that it was written in 1920 and published in 24, my mistake. Therefore I recant that nomination and cast my vote for Night Land also.

Dan (TheGreatBeast) I hadn't realized that it was written in 1920. I wonder if it was in magazines initially before being published as a novel.

Will (quexxon) I'll cast another vote for The Night Land.

Will (quexxon) I'd also like to nominate David Lindsay's A Voyage to Arcturus, first published in 1920.
