((One liner))Jasmine walked on to the archery field a bit uncertain. Her parents had said that they sent her here for her safety so she figured self defense would help her to be safer. Besides how hard could it be right?
((No biggie))Jasmine was hopeless at this. Every single arrow went the wrong way. She was close to giving up when she saw another girl a ways down who was doing very well. She tenatively walked over to her.
"Um, Uh." Jasmine stuttered. She was so terrible when she first met people. "I just noticed you were really good and I was hoping that if I watched I might be able to stop attacking the grass with my arrows."
Jasmine sighed in relief and smiled. "Sadly, none at all. Unless reading about it in my dad's novels counts. I'd love the help." She realized she hadn't given her name. She extended a hand. "I'm Jasmine."
"Be my guest." Jasmine gratefully handed over the bow to the other girl. As far as she was concerned at this point it was an evil instrument of failure.
Jasmine took the bow again and it felt much better in her hands. More graceful and less unweildly. She stepped over to where Azalea was. "Now what?"
"Um, yeah I guess so." Jasmine agreed wondering why she was asking. "I really just want to learn. I'm usually a pretty fast study." She took up the proper stance.
Jasmine took a deep breath and pulled the bow string back until it was resting at the crease of her mouth. She had read somewhere to use your mouth as an anchor and figured it couldn't hurt to try. "Like this?"
Jasmine pulled the string a little away from her mouth. She closed her left eye and lined the tip of the arrow up with the center of the target. "Okay, aiming."
Jasmine took one more deep breath and, without thinking, released on the exhale. It flew straight and hit the center of the target. She nearly dropped the bow, she was so shocked. "Oh my gosh. It worked." She said to herself.
Mulan entered the archery field and took out her own bow and arrow. She looked at the targets and almost laughed out loud. "These must be the worlds most easy target, I've gotten bulls eye on targets 10x smaller than this and from 3 times the distance," she thinks.
"You did? Cause I sure as heck didn't." Jasmine shivered slightly. "Should I try again or stop while I'm ahead?" She asked. She heard a mocking laugh come from a ways down the field.
Mulan sighs and picks up her bow and arrow. She goes to the very back of the field and sets her arrow. She senses someone looking at her and sets down her arrow. "Huh? Who is that?" she wonders as she sees a girl farther down the field looking at her.
Jasmine smiled at the other girl When she looked over. She figured it didn't hurt to be friendly. "Who is that?" She asked Azalea.
Mulan sends a smile back and hesitantly decides to go over herself and say hello. "Hello," she says to the two girls when she reaches them. "Hopefully they'll be nice," Mulan thinks to herself.
"Oh, hello." Jasmine says. A bit surprised by the other girl's coming over. "I'm Jasmine, I'm new, and thanks to Azalea her I am no longer a threat to the grass with a bow and arrow." Jasmine laughed her tinkling laugh.
"Okay, then I guess I'll try it again." She took another arrow and notched it but when she shot it it landed in the outer ring. "Crap." Jasmine mumbled. "What did I do wrong that time?"
"Great thanks." I have to go now but if I ever need help again," Jasmine paused. "Can I come to you?"
Mulan turned to face Azalea. "You are a great archery teacher, I'm good at it, but am a horrible teacher if you can believe me," she explained.
"11 sisters! My, you must have been busy all of the time," Mulan exclaimed.
"I don't have any siblings, I'm kind of happy for that since I probably wouldn't have had time for that anyways," she said.
Mulan smiled at this and looked at her watch. "I'm sorry, but I should go, I still haven't unpacked most of my suitcases," she says.
"Bye!" she calls to Azalea as she starts running down and field and towards the school.

Philip walked out onto the archery fields bored. He didn't have anything to do and he couldn't find Eric. He guessed Eric must be with one of the girls he had met recently.
Philip saw Aurora and smiled. He walked over to her. "Wow the princess can shoot. I thought you would be in your room painting you nails or something," he said with a smirk.
"Sorry." he replied smiling charmingly at her. He was trying not act like he normally did with girls but no doubt he would fall back into old habits soon enough.
Philip watched her. He couldn't offer any advice as he was bad at archery himself. He wasn't sure how to act around her as his natural reflex was too push her away like he did to most girls.
He sat down the grass and smiled back at her. He wasn't mean to people on purpose even if he didn't approve of her being friends with Ella but rumour had it Ella was the daughter of a rich lord so he didn't know why she was wearing rags.

"Is everything okay?" he asked seeing her frown. She looked as if she was miles away. He wondered what she was thinking about. Something nice hopefully. He hoped he could protect her from whoever may be after her as he had received a letter from his parents who had been told by the Aurora's father that someone was after her.
"Are you sure? This doesn't have anything to do with the person that's after you, does it? Because I will protect you," he said.
"It will be fine I promise. I won't let her get to you. She will have to get through me first," he said reassuringly. He wouldn't let anything hurt her not when both his parents and her's were relying on him to keep her safe.
He froze a little shocked but hugged her back. He wondered why she was looking at him with a sad expression on her face. He would keep her safe, he promised her parents, his parents, her and himself that.
He smiled softly at her wondering what had brought about this change in behaviour. She used to hate him and was always having a go at him.
"How are you?" he asked breaking the silence. It wasn't the best question but it would at least start up a conversation so they were not sitting here in silence.
"If she comes after me I can protect myself. I know how to use a weapon and hand to hand combat as well as how to defend against unfriendly magic. You don't need to worry about me," he said soothingly. It was nice to know she was worried about him through.
Philip sighed. He did have some idea about what she could do after all his father had trained him to protect Aurora from her but he also knew that if ever a girl shouted at you about something important it was better to just act if she was right.
Philip nodded and wrapped his arms around her. "It will be okay. I promise. She will be defeated and you can live a normal life," he said.
Her rubbed her back and sighed. He wondered what Eric would say if he saw them now. He would be teased about this dreadfully.
"No I didn't but I'm glad you like it," he said holding her tighter but not tight enough to hurt her. He didn't want to do that.
((Ella would wonder about her friends sanity))
Philip laid down and pulled her with him. He looked up at the sky and tried to see what shapes he could make out of the clouds.

((Yep))
Philip smiled as she fell asleep and checked her out. She was really beautiful. She was the type of girl men married not one for casual dates.

Philip eventually drifted off to sleep too and pulled her closer to him. His dreams were filled with images of the witch killing Aurora and him helpless to stop her.
Philip eventually woke up panicked till he realised where he was. He smiled as he saw she was still asleep and safe away from the witch.
He watched her blush and wondered if she was dreaming or whether she was actually awake. He decided to leave her for now as she looked peaceful.
Philip smiled at her. "Had a good sleep?" he asked. His had been filled with nightmares so he hoped her's hadn't.
"It was okay," he said. He was lying but she didn't need to know that and he didn't want to worry her as she had enough to worry about without him adding to it.
He watched the clouds again and tried to make shapes out of them. He could see a sword, a couple dancing, a gun, a fairy and one that looked a bit like the letter G.
"Yep. Can you see the swan and the prince" he replied as he pointed out a frog and a clown. Her wondered what other shapes he could find in the clouds.
