Earlier this year I came across a vlog style youtube adaptation of Pride and Prejudice called "The Lizzie Bennet Diaries". I watched all 100 episodes of it in a few days. The same people are making an Emma adaptation called Emma Approved, and it's already 7 episodes along. I'm just wondering if anyone else has seen it and what they think of it. I personally really love it - even though I always think of Emma as blonde (I probably have Gwyneth Paltrow to blame for that). I can't wait to see the direction they take it in because LBD had some very interesting updates to the classic story.

I think they established Emma as a hate-able character in the first couple of episodes and have already slowly pulled back the curtain and shown the cracks in her "flawless" front.
I like the idea of updating Austen in creative ways and I applaud the creativity the team has put in these series.
I prefer LBD by a lot but Emma Approved is pretty good too:) I can't wait to see out it all turns out!
I started watching and I'm not into it so far. I can't relate to Emma at all the way I can relate to Lizzie. I hate fashion and I do NOT like being told that my personal style is wrong because I don't have style.
I love Emma approved! I think people will enjoy it more if they aren't constantly comparing the videos to the actual book. Since the series isn't very close to the book, it is easiest to just enjoy the times when the plots match up. :)
I've watched all of the episodes and have also watched LBD which I thought as absolutely fantastic. Emma isn't one of my favorite Austen novels but I really love how they are putting a modern spin in classics and doing so in such a creative way through videos. I still don't know if I like the character Emma but I'm sure she'll grow on me. I enjoy her spats with Alex Knightly and really look forward to see how they'll play out the romance between the two. :)
