Kit crept up behind her yet again, careful to keep absolutely quiet. Her light hair was in two braids and her grin was obvious.

Kit followed suit, still quiet.

((Gtg! You can keep going on your own, of course, or we can continue another time... ))

Kit simply stood beside her, smile fading away as District Eight's escort took the stage.

Kit squeezed her hand a gently as the escort began her speech about the Capitol.

Kit tensed as the name was read.

"And the lucky lady is..... Lillibet Selkirk!"

"Hey!" Kit cried, eyes wide with horror.

"Nonononononono! Stop it!" Kit screamed at the peacekeepers, ignoring Lillibet completely.

It took a few more peacekeepers to restrain the sobbing Kit, and even then, she kicked and shrieked.

Kit eventually quieted, and the Reaping could continue.

It sucked about the girl, but that was the way things were. He clenched his jaw. Dakota nudged a guy next to him playfully, "Lighten up, man!" he said. He didn't me to knock him over, and by extension knock over five other people too. Alas, this is what happened.

"And now for our boy tribute!" the escort exclaimed, scurrying over to the male's bowl and pulling out a slip, "Dakota Roman!!!"

Dakota didn't hear what the escort had said. It would never be him! He extended his hands to the five boys on the ground but they were all staring at him.

Both Kit and the escort looked around for the male tribute.

Dakota tapped his foot impatiently and noticed that it was the only sound that could be heard. Who knew tapping one's foot could be so ominous. The District 8 boy must be stalling, he thought.

Fine! Be rude, whatever. People were just so impolite these days, staring and whatnot as you tried to help them up. He stood up to find everyone gawking. Okay, so he had knocked over a few people. Big deal!

Kit sniffed and returned the gesture.

"Go, man!" One of Dakota's coworkers nudged him forward. "Oh no, no, no, I am NOT volunteering!" he laughed.

"Err... Dakota Roman? Is there a Dakota Roman in the audience??" the escort repeated.

"That would be me!" Dakota raised his hand, "I promise I wasn't the one that blew up the empty Peacekeepers building, okay!"

"Well, come on up, you lucky boy!" the escort tried to regain composure.

Dakota was stunned, but somehow, he quickly recovered. He raised his eyebrows and strutted onto the stage confidently. He was not going to make an idiot of himself of film for future generations to look back on. He would accept his upcoming death with grace and charm... Wait... Where was Flappy?

Dakota wasn't expecting this, but he took it all in stride. "Your hair is horrendous, you know." he told the Peacekeeper. "So is yours and yours," Dakota pointed out all of Peacekeeper's identical hairstyles. "Honestly, I can't believe that the capital let you leave like that!" he shuddered, then turning to CJ's escort person he said, "Now you, ma'am/sir... You have style!" he enthused.
