I think when your parents have to buy it for you, because you don't have money yet, then that's too young. But if it's a treat, and you buy it yourself, then I think it's fine. Your parents could still put requirements on whether you could have caffeine in it or not.

Chantae B. When ever your aloud I don't like coffee so I don't drink it but if your aloud and you like than drink if but I think little kids like under the age of 8 or 9 is to young to drink coffee. (That's just my opinion)

Arielle Rae Aguilar | 60 comments Well, it really is up to the kid, as long as they don't get addicted to it and don't drink too much
It also kind of depends on the culture/environment you grew up in...

Victoria (ouija17) | 103 comments I think fourteen and up is a good age. But I mean maybe once every few months of you are younger than that. I am not a big drinker of it, but every three months or so I may get a Starbucks. But I think it also depends on what environment you grew up in.

Jenn (ace-geek) I don't remember when I started drinking coffee every morning, but I think it began in my early teens. I adore it today.

I for one don't think coffee's an awful drink for kids that are, say, twelve and up. The main problem people have with it is the caffeine, but the amount of sodas kids drink today can quickly add up to a comparable amount to drip coffee.

And coffee doesn't even(unless added) have sugar. Articles have even been written on the health benefits of moderate coffee intake(too much of anything is bad for you.).

I say if they don't go overboard and they're of an age where it's not thought medically harmful for them to have it, they should have it. There are worse things to catch your teen consuming.

Som When I was a teen I started with smoking Marijuana and thought coffee was a bad habit...
Nowadays I drink coffee if I remember having coffee in the fridge...I ask my maid politely to make me some to avoid them running out of date!
