I agree with Huda...We hardly have any forum or a website where all the bookstores are listed, we only know of a few famous establishments. Even finding the right number from information is impossible; they say no such bookstore exists.Karachi is in dire need of more bookstores and the right kind of platform to display the details collectively.
I actually came across two bookstalls in Gulistan-e-Jauhar..they sell old books of course ..and one of them actually had some good books..I even found some new arrivals too..
Can anyone here track me Areeba Book Bank's number? The shop is in DHA and they also put up a stall every week in Sunday Bazaar.

I have found two new thelay wala in gulistan jogar.. One is at the apartment buildings on jogar morr.. while the other is near furniture market of jogar morr before bin hashim..
There is a book store at boat basin called " old books collection" which has another branch at khadda market. they have a v good collection. there is another book shop called the family book shop boat basin... urdu bazar is another good option.. SA book corner is my fave at urdu bazar. I mostly buy old books so I have hunted these shops down. they have new books too. And if I dont find a book that am looking for then I download it instead of going to liberty books!
If any of you want an ebook PDF or ePub format let me know. I will put up a list soon. There is no charge by the way.
I just discovered this discussion and it instantly transported me back almost a decade. How much has changed since then with technology. People hardly visit bookstores any more and most bookstores are now easily available online. I think we should restart this discussion and maybe talk about the online bookstores that people go to, specially during COVID it is much safer. I prefer www.chapters.pk to buy and mybookshelf to rent.
